also idk if y’all have seen but in DWM it looks like Sacha (the Master) is holding a tiny figurine of someone he’s tissue compressed (someone who happens to be wearing a yellow leather jacket aka. probably yaz).
I’m gonna put this theory out there now: in the trailer that dropped after LOTSD, the doctor is screaming Yaz’s name as she “regenerates”. I think it’s because she just saw Yaz get tissue compressed (obviously this has to get undone somehow bc yaz makes it to the end of the episode so idk but I’m keen to hear ur thoughts)
You know what? I think the gay little intern who controls BBC Doctor Who socials is posting in whatever schedule will confuse fans the most. We think it will be every two days? Congratulations, you get a hiatus. Now it's every day? Probably time to post three on one day. Seems to be leading up to the centenary? Haha jokes on you, the countdown will never be finished. It will just stop with no explanation one day and then a week later out of the blue the episode drops.
The gay little intern lives for confusion
Jodie Whittaker in the power of the Doctor 2022...
I really hope, that tonight we get one last classic 13th Doctor scronch.
No but this.
I love this scene so much in tpotd because The Doctor's whole thing, I think we can all agree, has been about family. Or as she likes to call them, "fam."
When she wakes up after Yaz carries her into the TARDIS, the first thing she does is looks around at Graham, Kate, Tegan and Ace, saying "extended family."
Just like she did in the timeless child when she woke up to Ryan, Graham and Yaz surrounding her.
And I love the fact that, unlike in the timeless child where she is referring to all of them, Ryan, Graham and Yaz as "my fam." after she wakes up in this episode, when she says "Extended fam." she is referring to Graham, Ace, Tegan and Kate, THEN she looks at Yaz and smiles. To me, that implies that The Doctor knows that Yaz is the one that saved her and that she feels safe enough to fall back to sleep cuz she trusts Yaz completely. She trusts Yaz to look after the TARDIS and keep eveyone safe while she's out for the count, as they say.
Maybe also the fact of her knowing that Yaz is safe makes her feel safe. Or, hey, this is a complete shot in the dark, you'll probably think I'm crazy, but maybe another reason is maybe because she loves the woman???
I love Yasmin Khan so much!
Plus I think the fact that Yaz has stayed with the Doctor throughout the whole of her life span of her 13th incarnation makes Thasmin even that bit more special and heart breaking.
