i will really pick the most complicated thing to do and then be frustrated that I cannot do it effectively and with ease lmao.

i recently sold my old ceramic 3D printer after a year and a half of having no success with it. It was too cryptic and not user friendly enough for me. My new 3D printer is a lot more user friendly and well designed but it didn’t come with an electric extruder. (The model i have was intended for an air compressor to push the clay through the tube but i didn’t know this until after it arrived because my bf bought the printer for me as a surprise :-). The air compressor was sold separately and i didn’t have one or any knowledge about them so i was using the old electric clay extruder that was intended for my old 3D printer for the new 3D printer for about a week. Then i sell the old extruder thinking it’s no big deal because i can just buy an air compressor. My bf found a small air compressor that was seemingly compatible with the printer but I haven’t gotten a consistent print using the compressor. It won’t extrude the clay evenly. I spent a week of troubleshooting and struggling to get the air compressor to feed the clay through the tube at a consistent pace. I’ve changed the consistency of the clay countless times to ensure the clay wasn’t too thick, cleaned the printer head and tubes to make sure there were no clogs, and still no improvement with the air compressor. My old electric extruder pushed the clay consistently through the tube on the very first print I did but I sold it because I included it in the sale, and didn’t think I’d be running into any major issues with going the air compressor route. Last night, I found an electric clay extruder that’s compatible with my printer and ordered it. If this brand spanking new electric extruder arrives and gives me unsolvable problems, I’m going to take it personal. Cuz it’s getting ridiculous at this point lmao.
