forgot to post about it but i won a full-ride scolarship for a fine arts ceramics six month class that is starting next week :') ! i am very excited to make some creatures or perhaps beasts

While soon going back to the ceramic workshop, a little look back on last time highlight : a custom gouache palette. I love ot, even though it is a bit heavy... and i also use the smaller porcelaine ones i made for my travel kit.

This year i'd like to experiment on decors and make tableware - like big mugs, on which to draw...

@inspirarte.ca That little cement-like stoneware plate and drinking vessel all treated with oxides only for a weathered look. Speckled clay, rutile, copper, manganese. Clear top. Inside is a root beer liner glaze. Reminiscent of stone cottages in the south of France with their “conque” or basins where running water was not possible then. Anyhow you can dream and see many things just by looking and feeling what a small vessel transmit to you...when it speaks to you. È composto di 19 piastrelle. Le decorazioni delle 12 piastrelle esterne sono ispirate ad alcuni dettagli dei dipinti di Kandinskij ( una è ispirata a un logo della @concentus_ikebana_sogetsu ). A guardare bene , però, le 12 piastrelle possono evocare i 12 segni dello zodiaco occidentale, ma anche cinese e indiano ... 12 è anche il numero dei mesi dell’anno, delle principali divinità greche, delle fatiche di Ercole, dei cavalieri della tavola rotonda, delle tribù di Israele, degli apostoli .... Nella religione del popolo dei nuraghi( in Sardegna, la mia isola natale) il 12 esprimeva la luce solare. 12 sono le stelle della bandiera dell’Europa. Vogliamo continuare? Il numero 108 , numero sacro per molte religioni orientali, è divisibile per 12 , anzi ha 12 divisori .... Senza contare poi che la somma delle due cifre che lo compongono ( 1+2) è 3 : il numero perfetto. Ma , in fondo, di che cosa stiamo parlando? Eh sì, stiamo solo parlando di un tavolo 😊. an update: ive been to the ceramics studio (3) times or a total of 9 hours and it is now 96% of my awake thoughts. every minute im home is just a minute im waiting to go back to the ceramics studio. clay is my best friend and confidante and i would kill and die for her
