Earth, fire, water, and air. We are all made up of the elements. At the core of us, we are Spirit. Ancient cultures knew this and, for this reason, made offerings to the different elements. They honored and respected them. Water was always cherished, never soiled, or polluted. Where there is water, there is life. Water flows much like the blood in our veins. What is in water will end up in us, too. 💧 Earth was respected, from it came nourishment. Soil was formed from years of decomposition. It needs to rest, and it needs to be fed; otherwise, it loses its vitality, much like us. Air gave us breath. It inspires us and moves us. Fire gave us the power to cook, heat, and transform. 🔥 Spirit: This was living, breathing, life. Life was cherished. Not only two leggeds but four leggeds, winged ones, and the green bloods. Life was never taken lightly. A prayer was always offered. Only what was needed was taken. Nothing more. To walk with reverence for life and for the elements that construct it is to walk with integrity. As human beings, we are self-conscious and can choose how we wish to walk this life. May we walk humbly, lightly, and with honor. 💗 》photo feature the element collection- 4 bowls for each element #ceremonialpottery #offeringbowls #handmade #oneofakind #pottery #altarbowls #offerings #ceremony #ritual #elements #pottersofinstagram #artistsofinstagram #ceramicbowls #ceramics #naturelovers #earthbasedspirituality #paganism #shamanism #earthbased #nature #sacrednature #honouringtheelements #honour #sacredwalk #ancientcultures #ancientwisdom #reverence (at Denman Island, British Columbia) https://www.instagram.com/p/Cbqq1UDJm8t/?utm_medium=tumblr
