I found Cernunnos while I was first searching for a pagan deity to worship. He "'matched" everything I was looking for. He gave me a vision when he decided I was his, though I don't remember exactly what it is now because I was driving when the fucker did it so I couldn't concentrate properly. Now he's like a father, brother, friend, all in one. It's really cool. Our relationship can be very antagonistic in a playful way (hence "fucker").
Taranis...that's something extremely personal. I won't share details, but he tried to get my attention for a while and then one day during a storm he yelled until I gave him attention. I was at work, and the rest of the night was just torrential rain while I thought about what he told me and what it meant. We have a brother/sister type relationship. Also very snarky at times.
Freyja and Odin were results of me trying to find "mental health" deities. I'm closer to Freyja than Odin by a long shot. They were both basically like, "I like this mortal," and started hanging out with me. Especially Freyja, who I suspect may have dragged Odin along with her before he made up his mind. Odin doesn't come around much, but has made it known that I'm his to some degree and I won't be getting rid of him any time soon (not that I've actively tried to).
I met Fenrir a very long time ago, before I even knew he existed. He's always been my "dark" side, the passion, insanity, depression, and everything else overwhelming and intense about myself. I think I was just born with him as part of me.
And Tyr...he just...stared whispering in my ear one day, slowly dropping hints to seek him out. I saw a few posts about him and thought I liked this god, this honorable thing of justice and truth. Everything he stands for called to me, and I had always felt a connection to arrows in a design similar to the Tiwaz rune with a meaning much like what Tyr represents to me now. One day I finally decided to worship him and then he started whispering to me in a different way. I'm a consort of his and will be making an oath to him in a little under a week and a half.
@twinklerwolf I went to respond to you in that last post but started rambling and just decided to make this instead 🙃
