Its been over 7 years I posted something but Game of Thrones- My view as an objective feminist
I havent posted anything in years because I’m not a high school twilight obsessed child anymore and most of the post here are from people who are well in highschool
That being said... we need to take Game of Thrones
Look all you whiny bitches being caught out of left field of Daenerys becoming the Mad queen obviously havent been paying attention nor have read the books. It didn’t happened all of a sudden, the chick allowed her own brother die a tragic death (even though he deserved it). She killed the Tarlys, she crucified the slavers in Merreen and bitch wants the thrones because of birthright not because she gives a shit about helping people. It makes sense, the closer you get to what you want the more ruthless you’ll get.
That being said.. as a women it did break my heart to see her kill all those innocent people, thus becoming another power hungry crazy women. Of course I would have hoped that yeah maybe she got a little intense being so close to the throne and losing her best friend but ultimately was going to decide what was right and listen to the sound of surrenders from the bells.
However, foreshadow, genetics and John Snow Fate intervene and the inevitable happened and here we are (and if you were blindsided by this, your an idiot). Of course, Daenerys wasn’t going to sit on the iron throne, I read the books, it would have been too obvious. Yet, as a women, I can’t help but overlook the fact that this entire show, whether is the producer or the universe that George RR Martin created, Men always win, Rape is overlooked or even necessary for times of war and women can never have a position of power without being evil. And as woman, it just sucks but I think in terms of Daenerys, it was suppose to happened.
As for Jamie. Is a waste of bcharacter development, what was the fuck of making even a friendship with Brienne, make them fall in love and then have Jamie just peace out. Its frustrating as a human but as an objective reader, again, I get it, Jamie is the character who will always love his sister no matter what. That is his purpose.
Again. I get it but I am overall disappointed
What is your thoughts of what I wrote and the show in general?
