Dharmarajpally, a small village in the Mandal of Huzurabad, Karimnagar district, Telangana India is unique in its own way. It broke the perception/common view, that quality seeds can be produced and marketed only by big companies. It has a group of small farmers, who came forward to make a Seed Growers Co-operative society. This society produces eight different varieties of Paddy Seeds and marketing it to few districts of Andhra Pradesh, Telengana and Karnataka.
Our team got an opportunity to meet and give a small demo of Kalgudi to members of the society recently. They were interested in learning that,@kalgudi - a mobile application can help them in giving accurate weather information which can help them in making their field prepared to ensure good quality of seeds. It was a great pleasure for them to use kalgudi, as they learnt that it helps them in finding and reaching out to new seed dealers and distributors across the country.
