Are you kidding me??? I just had “Bendy” spawn again literally after he BARELY just left the area.
I’m not kidding; the ink web from him leaving hadn’t even faded when I saw new ones pop up from the other side AGAIN. He must be REALLY mad about me smashing some of his cutouts. Or it’s a weird glitch because he spawned right before I was about to cross the hall to the Angel Path room and I just ran the other way that time to avoid him.
At least I got to stay in my box this whole time.
Oh yeah, I figured out some stuff about Bendy’s spawn pattern during the whole time I was wrestling with the gearboxes.
1) “Bendy” ONLY spawns in specific areas, i.e. areas that have a Miracle Station.
2) He spawns around every 3 minutes in whatever spawn area you’re in assuming you don’t sprint or make too much noise. On average, he spawns around 3 min 30-something seconds. Quickest time I’ve had him spawn was 2 min 38 sec and the longest was about 4 min 40-something seconds. Note that I started timing either when the elevator just stops at the floor or immediately after Bendy leaves and the ambience stops.
3) He follows a set route in these areas unless he spots you. If you move to an area that isn’t part of his route before he sees you, he won’t follow you there. That means the connecting regions between areas with Miracle Stations are safe as long as you keep away from his spawning site.
You’ll have to figure out the exact spawn sites by hiding and watching (although some areas are obscured by the box, you can get a good approximation regardless).
For example, on Level K, he always spawns at the walls on either corners of the catwalk away from the Miracle Station and vanishes into the wall at the other corner.
In the Heavenly Toys room, he either spawns from the right entrance on the side you first entered the room from and vanishes into the wall on the right stairs or he spawns from the top of the right stairs and vanishes into the left entrance.
Hiding in the box a little ahead of time is the best way to avoid him, but if you’re out when you see the ink coming in, you have to get in the box within 5 seconds or less before he sees you (I would guesstimate less than 2 or 3 if he’s spotted you depending on how much distance there is). If a box is very close, get in fast. But if you’re in an area without a box and you see ink pop up just ahead, run the other way. Besides the fact you won’t be able to get to the box (since “Bendy” would be spawning there and thus blocking you), again, he won’t leave his set route unless he spots you. He won’t follow you into, say, the Toy Storage room unless you walk into him as he spawns and run that way.
Now, I don’t know how true this will hold for the Bendy cutouts since I’m still working on this and I heard that he apparently spawns really quickly after you smash one or so. I’ll be finding that out myself in a bit.
