when cadmus and arlo met at the volleyball game, cadmus spent the entire game staring at arlo bc he was so pretty, and after the game cadmus had that silly movie moment with music and slow motion when arlo let his hair down from the ponytail he was wearing and shook his head a little

i'm....... i'm thinking.... just a little bit into their relationship, cadmus tells arlo that he's trans. now he wasn't hiding it before or anything, but it just hadn't come up, and once cadmus realizes that, he decides he'd rather tell him sooner than later. but he's like.. uncharacteristically nervous.. he's usually so loud and proud but.. he really likes arlo, and he'd hate it if this is where their relationship ends. arlo is a little bit surprised, but overall, his reaction is just "oh! uh. okay. cool :)" and he is a little confused when cadmus seems relieved

arlo: did you... think i was gonna break up with you over that?

cadmus: i- no, but i mean... i was prepared for the possibility. it's nothing that i'm ashamed of or anything, i am who i am and i love it! but i have been rejected for it before, and... i do get that some people have their preferences, but it still kinda sucks

arlo: of course it does

and cadmus looks at him with this shy smile. he asks one more time "are you sure it won't bother you?" and arlo responds "of course not! i love you, not your body! well, i do love your body, but mostly because it's really great for hugging and cuddling, and you're just so pretty, and your lips are just so kissable, and-" and then cadmus is blushing a deep red and he kisses arlo, partially because he just really wants to, but also because if he doesn't shut up right now cadmus might combust

arlo touches cadmus' face a little and strokes his cheek to get rid of a stray lash that he saw on his cheek, but It Felt So Nice, so cadmus just quietly, softly goes "again?" and arlo grins before stroking his cheek again like that

i imagine Arlo is Cadmus' first time in an actual relationship. Maybe even his first relationship at all. So its his first time experiencing such gentle, loving touches in a romantic context

And its the first time Arlo is with someone so..... sensitive. regarding romance

So everytime Cadmus shyly asks Arlo to do something again, like a soft touch, a kiss, etc, he cannot help but grin so wide. Hes def determined to pamper Cadmus with love
