The author borrowed an original character from my 2012 AU and made him better, and I'm super impressed, so now the circle of influence makes me want to write more Neural Mikey hanging out in 2012 Mikey's inner mind and occasionally dragging the turtles into weird adventures.
I love how my world building has actually inspired and influenced other TMNT fan writers: Mikey having telempathic abilities, more 2012 Mikey personas, 2003 Mikey getting mutated instead of Donnie as per the first draft of the arc, Bayverse Mikey with empathic abilities.
Mikey with mystic and psychic powers has been with me since the mid 1990s. It's why Rise Mikey made me sit up and take notice.
One of my favorite kinds if AO3 fic comments is how they had to look up the medical terms and neurology words and the story was still interesting enough that they read the whole thing. Like, I might fall in love when people leave reviews like that.
I was blazing through a hyperfixation and wrote an entire AU for an already absurd plotline as an excuse to infodump some very personal feelings.

Way back in 2016 when I somehow wrote a 105K fic in two months, I was researching neuroscience so I could accurately traumatize my blorbo while giving the other characters all the knowledge they need to help. This was the kind of stuff I studied like a med student on too much Red Bull for half a year. The result: Fic comments that had to look up all the medical science terms while expressing a deep appreciation for how I emotionally deepened every character in intriguing ways. Winning, I guess.
Also, the way my cerebral palsy hit my partietal and temporal lobes is still a special interest.
I have a habit giving my characters brain damage where the biggest side effects is, like, psionics. And epilepsy.
Something that I've been thinking about when it comes to the tmnt crossover thingy is how would the other turtles react to the physics in the Rise! world, as in carton physics. Like the Bayverse cast live in a world where those kinds of physics can only be achieved by animation on tv. So being dropped into a world where you could rotate your head around like an owl and still be (partially) ok has to be a bit of puting, at first.
But then what about the other turtles who also come from animated universes, would their visual gags also be translated into the Rise! universe or not? Just food for thought.
You know, that's really interesting and something I think the 1987 turtles would be very familiar with, seeing as how after a while their design team just went with the animation errors and the show became notorious for its Cartoon Physics (often lampshaded, usually by Raph or a villain breaking the fourth wall).
The 2012 turtles would enjoy the hell out of the Rise world. Probably use the cartoon physics to prank each other. They often played by anime rules, which tend to slide sideways.
The 2003 boys would be stunned, awed, and slightly puzzled. Leave it to Mikey to jump into it like a giant pile of leaves yelling "Come on in, boys, the weirdness is so comfy!" while he's doing handstands in the air.
Speaking of Rise meeting Bayverse, I'm working on possibly the fandom's longest fic about that, born from an RP with @remmushound and featuring a pair of psionic Mikeys who amazingly haven't accidentally blown anything up.

Okay, I'm back.
Well... the one I'm most proud of is "Laugh Til It Hurts" but I couldn't really pick out my best.
As for audience favorites, I feel like "The Spirit Within" has been pretty popular.
A few of my fics were winners in past fanfic competitions. And I've gotten some really wonderful comments on "I'll Fall With Your Knife."
My RP turned fic with @remmushound "I Would Not Wish Any Companion In The World But You" has the most kudos I think, but it's really fucking long and still going, I have no idea when we'll stop.
There are other RPs I'm thinking of turning into fics. And I only just started "Burnt Orange"
