It was after lunch, you were watching Trinity clean up the mess of making a meal, you were babbling your and her head off

She could tell you needed playtime and a nap, so that was her mission, wear the baby out and put her down for a nap

She placed the last dish on the drying rack and got down to your level to pick you up and carry you to the living room to play with your toys

She sat down on the rug letting you go play she was there to watch you and make sure everything was going smoothly

You brought over some of your toys to her, “mama play” you cooed handing her a small play bag of food, you grabbed your toy check out machine, you adored playing cashier with her

“Mama!” You whined as she unpacked the food getting a bit distracted herself

“Mama pay now!” You hummed impatiently waiting for the fake card that came with the set

She handed it to you and let you run it through your fake register, “how much to I owe baby” she asked taking the card back after you finished

“Lots mama” you responded which earned a laugh from her, after finishing the little roleplay you ditched the fake food and found your way to your picture books

You picked one out for Trinity to read to you, you scampered back to her lap showing her the book

“You want mommy to read it?” She asked as you snuggled into her lap rubbing your back

She felt you nod as she opened the book and began to read the words inside of it, she pointed at the pictures and did funny voices

She watched as your eyes got heavier and heavier from listening to her voice, she slipped a pacifier into your mouth helping your drowsy self feel more comfortable

“Lookie there, your just begging for a nap huh sweetheart” she teased finishing the book and seeing your closed eyes against her chest

Dennis was strong he could do things on his own (most of the time) but sometimes you needed to be wrangled by more than one person at a time

“Heyy…Trinity..” Dennis snuck into her room where she laid watching her show and eating whatever they had in the fridge

“What.” She hummed pausing the Tv and retracting the fork-full of food from her mouth

“She wont go down and she’s fussing a lot could you please please help?” He begged her with those big puppy eyes he used to get his way with literally anything

Trinity sighed getting up from her nest of a bed and followed Dennis to where you were

It was a sigh for sore eyes, you were fussing and teary obviously not wanting to go down for a nap

You pouted at Trinity rasing your arms up for her and she obliged picking you up

Dennis gave a little side eye at how easily Trinity was swooned by the little charm

“You’re not sleepy huh..” she said looking down at you, you obviously were it wasn’t hard to tell but you were definitely fighting it

“Well then you don’t care if we turn the lights down and shut the curtains huh?” She nodded at Dennis to start doing just that

He hummed getting what she was putting down and began to dim the lights, close the blinds

She was swaying with you in her arms she had her infamous smug smirk watching you laid your head on her shoulder

“And you wouldn’t get even sleepier if dada brought you a bottle and you blankie?” Trinity questioned again sitting down on the couch watching your eyes becoming heavier and heavier

You were still fussing and whining upset about the whole situation but you couldn’t deny the sensation of sleep coming on

But you didn’t want them to win so you pouted watching Dennis make your bottle from the kitchen, inside you were very excited but you were acting like you were just fussy and not wanting it

Trinity cooed and gave a little giggled watching Dennis bring the bottle over and slip it into your mouth

They both nodded at each other as Trinity took the bottle in her hand holding the warm plastic watching you avoiding eye contact as your had your eyes nearly fully shut slowly sipping the bottle down

After you fully fell asleep against Trinity’s chest they both high gives each other before Trinity transferred you to Dennis’s arms and nodded as she walked back to her previous task

In the back of his mind he made a note to buy extra avocados this week

“Oh wow look at you pretty girl!” Trinity cooed at you as he buckled your into the car ready to leave, she had a day off and she rarely took you anywhere since she was always busy or your never were up to it

She was taking you to a local candy shop near the apartment since who didn’t like candy especially when it was close to home and not too expensive

“You ready to go get something sweet with mama?” She asked giving you a gentle kiss after successfully buckling you in

You nodded excitedly messing with your hands is how she knew you were very excited to go

On the road she took a picture of you in the back watching out the window sipping on a sippy cup of watered down juice

She sent the picture to Dennis “someone is getting candy and your not invited” she teased of text which earned an angry emoji back from Dennis as he worked away at the ER

When you two got to the candy shop it was like your wonderland, it was early so there were only a few people but the music was soft and quiet and you could take your time picking things out

Trinity got her own bag quickly so she could help get your candy aswell, she helped your scoop it and count it all out for how much you wanted

“Good job baby girl” she praised watching you grab the candy you wanted correctly and all on your own

You smiled big showing mama your candy bag that you had chose very selectively only having your absolute favorites in there

“Okay I see sweet thing let’s check out huh maybe we can get lunch before we go home?” She nodded as the register as you both walked up and weigh your candy

After weighting and paying it was out the door with the sweet treats for the two of you

“Okay let’s go get some real grub? How’s that sound?” Trinity asked putting a piece of candy in her mouth looking at you who held her hand back to the car

You nodded at her with those big eyes which earned you a soft smiled from her (you were definitely getting that lunch)
