-🎆 Darius is not prepared to provide care to be honest. He was not ready to let his guard down to let a regressor in. Realized he could act as a caregiver when he cared for Hunter and Raine on separate occasions

-🎆 Will show off his Abominations skills and creations for his regressor, he loves to show off and make little shows for his little with them

-🎆 Not big on affection but lots hair ruffles, back handed compliments, back rubs, and small gestures like that

-🎆 His love language strikes me as words of affirmation and memorabilia. Will give genuine reassurance when his regressor needs it and he’ll talk about his days at Hexside if asked to, he cherishes moments like that

-🎆 Darius does well with older kid regressors or baby regressors because the tasks for them seem simple to him. Ex: give a simple game activity to a older regressor, or a putting a baby regressor down for a nap, etc

-🎆 Very big on self care. He also isn’t afraid to be girly/feminine with his regressor if they want that. He’ll huff and puff if they ask to do his nails but really doesn’t mind it. Lots of face masks, baths, cleansers, spa days, etc. Will stock pile nail polish, face masks, and the like for those days. He also makes sure his regressor stays clean, just because he’s gooey doesn’t mean he’s gonna let his regressor be covered in it. And no, he will not let you try to eat his abomination goo

-🎆 He’s not an active caregiver if I’m honest, if you guys are out and about, he’s usually a few steps behind catching up. He’s such a tired dad, give him a break. He lets his little take the lead in outings because he strikes me as an introvert, but he makes sure they stay safe. However, inside activities are his specialty. Will set up cartoons, a drawing station, dress up, storytelling, puppetry, etc. Low activities are so his thing and he is known to be parallel with his regressor, he’ll be reading a magazine on the bed as they’ll be beside him on the floor drawing or something similar.

-🎆 Will get his regressor Abomination goo like toys. Play-doh, slime, clay, the sand like toys, etc if asked. Because his favorite color is purple, if his regressor doesn’t specify, he gets them purple colored gear as well

-🎆 A firm caregiver, but he can be fun. He is not swayed by begging or puppy dogs eyes. If his regressor wants to stay up or have an extra cookie they really need to convince him with a solid argument or point

-🎆Gonna be honest, because Darius himself is sort of sassy, he does not put up with tantrums. It will not end well. He definitely has that mom look that says he ain’t taking shit

-🎆 Darius isn’t the best at showing his emotions but sometimes it comes out in funny ways, for example, if he’s working on a chart or something for his Coven and his regressor comes up to him and shows him a drawing or a clay sculpture he would straight faced, tight jawed look at them and tell them he loves it

-🎆 Will call his regressor princess/prince/royal, bud, darling, goo-boo, bitty baby, sparkles, or starlight

-🎆 When his regressor gets close with him, they get close with the other coven heads. Especially with Raine and Eberwolf, on occasion he’ll hand his regressor off to them if he needs to tend to something while caregiving, it’s an unspoken babysitting rule in the Covens.

Angst:

-👾 Because Darius isn’t a prepared caregiver, he makes quite a few mistakes. Usually simple ones but it varies

-👾 Because Darius isn’t the best at regulating his emotions, he’s has had times where he’s yelled at or lashed out at his regressor. He would never hurt them but his words may hurt just as much.

-👾 Darius goes through quiet bouts where he shuts everyone out, he doesn’t mean to but it just happens, this can leave him feeling like an absent caregiver and his little confused

Baby Regressor Hunter and CG Darius

so, darius notices for a long time that hunter acts weird sometimes, esp after missions that don't go perfectly. he holds himself protectively, fidgets a lot, and he doesn't really speak.

but, he just assumes it's because hunter is embarrassed that he didn't do perfectly for belos oh no the horror, right? the little brat just needs to lighten up

and he holds onto that until hunter worms his way into darius's heart and he actually. starts to notice that that weird way hunter's acting is. Concerning

he passes by hunter's room and hears the kid crying, and he can't stop himself from being nosy. he opens the door and finds hunter crumpled up in a pile on his bed sobbing. his little palisman is curled up against his chest trying to comfort him, and hunter just looks so small and so vulnerable

when hunter sees him, he tries to pull himself together, tries to put on a brave face, but then darius calls out to him with a quiet "are you okay, little prince?"

and no, no hunter is not okay. and darius ends up holding him for the rest of the night, letting hunter cry and babble out confessions that darius can't really understand.

when hunter wakes up the next morning, he wakes up on darius's chest, and he panics and tries to run away. he doesn't even get out of the room before darius uses an abomination goo wall to keep him from avoiding the conversation. so, hunter properly confesses how his head gets, how small he feels sometimes, how scary everything is, and titans be damned if darius didn't immediately want to scoop the kid up and protect him from everything

and darius promises to help him, promises that hunter doesn't need to go through this alone ever again. and he keeps that promise to the best of his ability. his door is always open for hunter, and he seeks the boy out if he hasn't regressed in a while.

it doesn't take long for hunter to start calling him "dada" it just feels natural. darius totally chokes up when he hears it. hunter thinks that's funny and does it more

hunter absolutely loves being carried, and darius is more than happy to carry him around, bounce him on his hip, and just baby talk to him to really make hunter happy and giggly

darius loves taking care of him, and he bends over backwards to make hunter happy. raine and eber pick on him about it, but the teasing goes over hunter's head.

when darius notices that hunter sucks his thumb, he quickly remedies that situation by getting a pacifier for him. the moment he notices hunter chewing his nails, he pops the paci in and pats his head. hunter totally loves it.

also when darius notices how hard it is for hunter to eat sometimes, he gets baby food and feeds them to the boy. the purees are easier for hunter to eat when his brain doesn't want to go through the effort of chewing and processing food so much. darius thinks it's adorable how hunter claps between spoonfuls, but he does wish the boy wasn't such a messy eater

Age regressor! Raine Whispers headcanons

-🎻 Raine is a baby regressor, their age range being from 1-3

-🎻 They regress voluntarily and involuntarily for a multitude of reasons. Raine gets stressed very easily from being in the Emperor’s Coven and being the Bard Coven, those being the main reasons for them to regress and relieve stress

-🎻 Raine’s regression is both masc and fem depending on how they feel and express themselves in headspace (though they are a masc nonbinary person, and that’s okay)

-🎻 Raine isn’t big on touch or PDA in or out of headspace, but they do like being bottle fed, sitting on their caregivers lap as they do things together, or being rocked (usually by Eda or Darius)

-🎻 Raine gets flustered and blushes very easily when regressed, Eda has cooed at them while taking care of them and Darius has had to tell Eda to stop teasing the baby

-🎻 That said, Raine has been encouraged to make a little mischief if Eda is watching them, Darius usually hears about it after it’s too late. Both Eda and Darius care for Raine, and occasionally Lilith as well

-🎻 Raine has a bedtime routine for themselves when they regress. Sometimes they go to bed early or other wise super late. The routine consists of a bottle of warm milk or tea, quiet time activities if no caregiver is available and a lullaby if their is, brushing their hair, teeth, and getting into pajamas, then going to sleep

-🎻 Raine switches between using a baby bottle and sippy cups when they have their regression drinks, just depends what they want

-🎻 Raine can get upset slightly easier when regressed, because of their baby space they don’t take to change or activities for older regressors well. It may take a couple of minutes or exchanges to get them to relax and calm down in their state

-🎻 Raine is not nonverbal when regressed, they just prefer not to speak. Raine speaks shortly or mumbled when regressed, usually because they are embarrassed. Raine also doesn’t speak much because they usually have a pacifier in or are focused. Raine speaks with hand gestures mostly but can and will speak if asked to.

-🎻 Because Raine is socially awkward (same), sometimes it’s hard for their caregivers to tell when they are regressed or need or want something

-🎻 They like baby toys that light up or make music as well as toys that you can activate to copy you when you speak to it. Raine will forever be into music and songs, in toys or having lullabies sang to them.

-🎻 They listen to soft music when regressed and they enjoy baby sensory videos. In some instances, if Eda or Darius needs to do something while caring for Raine they’ll sit them down in front of a crystal ball with a sensory video or at a table with crayons, paper, and some soft music playing

-🎻 When Eda is caring for them, they avoid trying to go into harpy mode, feeling that it might be a little too much for the baby. As Eda avoids doing that, they also remind Hooty to not be so rambunctious around Raine because Raine gets overwhelmed easier in baby space. This will usually end up in Hooty gathering Raine’s gear as Eda tends to them

-🎻 Raine likes to eat soft foods when regressed, usually consisting of items like apple sauce, yogurt, and the like

A knock at Darius’s door was unusual.  A knock at this hour was even more so.  The coven head groaned as he got to his feet and shuffled across the room to open the door.  “Yes…?” he groaned, pulling his hand down his face with his annoyance.

And then he heard that distinct sniffle.

He snapped out of his irritation immediately.  “Hunter?  What’s wrong, little prince?”  Darius stooped down to see the boy’s face, heart breaking as tears spilled down his cheeks.

“B-blankie’s tore…” Hunter managed out.  He wiped his eyes and hiccupped.  He stood there with a red blanket balled up in his arms, the tear facing the sky for Darius to see.

“May I?” Darius asked, and Hunter held the blanket up for him.  “Oh, dear, it’s just a little tear, Hunter.  I can fix this, no problem.”

Hunter sniffled and finally looked up at Darius with hopeful eyes.  “Really…?”

“Of course.”  Darius gave him a gentle smile.  “Come take a seat, this’ll just take a minute.”

Hunter darted into the room and dove onto the bed, pulling the covers over his head.  Darius had to laugh at his actions.  He made quick work of sewing up the tear, abomination magic coating the stitches and leaving them nearly invisible on the fabric.  “There we are, all better,” Darius said, presenting the blanket to the boy.

“Wow…” Hunter whispered.  He ran his hand over the fabric, a wide smile taking over his face.  “Thank you, Dada!”  He hugged Darius close, giggles spilling out of his mouth.  Darius chuckled and hugged him tight, rubbing Hunter’s shoulder.  He dropped a kiss into his hair before telling the boy to scoot over in the bed.

Hunter wrapped his blankie around his shoulders and snuggled up against his caregiver.  It didn’t take long for Hunter to fall asleep.  It never did, really, as soon as he got comfortable he just fell right asleep.  Darius was sure one day this wouldn’t be as cute as it was.

Regressor Hexside!Raine Headcanons

raine is the biggest, bossiest lil brat on the boiling isles

they technically have 2 cgs, eda and darius, because they are a force of chaos if left alone too long

that being said, they also just. don't like being alone, and they get upset if they're by themself for too long

raine loves lullabies, and they have a little music box they carry with them to play when they're regressed that helps them feel small and comfortable

they don't have a specific age range they regress to, its just a jumble of ages that fluctuates based on how they're feeling

they usually know exactly what they want to do, and will stop at nothing to do it. if they want to play outside, they will drag eda with them and have her play too. if they want to be carried, they'll just jump on darius and demand he carry them

raine also is a cuddly lil thing when they're in a good mood. lots of hugs, lots of lil smooches on their cheeks and forehead from their cgs

they will just run up to either eda or darius, hug their arm, and snuggle into them until they get their desired amount of attention

CG Hexside!Darius Headcanons

he starts taking care of raine because he kiiiiiinda has a crush on them and wants to get closer to them

has to share with eda, which he isnt too thrilled about

he will get raine whatever they want, and just spoils them like crazy

will deny to the end of time that he actually likes spending time with them and wants to take care of them

darius actually cannot stand when raine gets bratty, though, and argues with them despite it being a losing battle. eda usually has to separate them and calm them both down

darius carries raine all the time, too, and he loves how they giggle and kick their feet all happy when he picks them up

it kills him when raine goes into Gimme Attention Mode because he's gotta hold himself together as he smooches them and cuddles them

eda picks on him about it. one of these days he's gonna fight her

Summary: “He…llo?”  Darius peered over the banister into the bushes, and he caught sight of mint colored hair.  Said head of hair disappeared into the bush.  Darius narrowed his eyes and hopped down the stairs, stopping short of the mulch to peer inside.  “…Raine?  What’re you do-“

“Go ‘way!”

Darius flinched at their tone, but he was nothing if not persistent.  He sat cross-legged in the grass and leaned back on his hands.  “I’m not going anywhere.”

__ Raine regresses after giving a speech in class scares them, and Darius just happens to be sulking in the right place at the right time.

This is definitely my Aladarius obsession kicking in but imagine like they’re going to Hexside & Darius is Raine’s CG & Alador is like “idk what’s happening but yay for healthy coping mechanisms” AT FIRST but then a regressed Raine feeling like the little mischievous brat they are decide to call Alador & Darius “dada” & “papa”

Idk I always headcanoned that during Hexside Alador was very good with kids & volunteered a lot with them just like Amity, I can imagine once Raine starts referring to Alador as “dada” he’s automatically like “omg I want kids I wanna be a father omg omg I will strive to be the best dad I can be” (epic foreshadowing moment)

Also Darius definitely stumbled on the two napping outside a couple times, Raine cuddled up in Alador’s lap with a baby blankie & pacifier, and Alador passed the heck out from overworking himself (again)

ALSO TO ADD TO THE LACK OF REGRESSOR DARIUS CONTENT OUT THERE, if Alador & Raine ever stumbled on a regressed Darius they’d spoil him to pieces (give or take would probably overwhelm the poor boy oops) Regressor Darius unlike his big self would be extremely quiet & reserved definitely, and would also not be too dependent on a CG but require a lot of physical affection or soft things like plushies, blankies, being cradled, etc. Also just my take on it but I can imagine that little Darius LOVES playing dress up, once he’s comfortable enough he’d definitely let Raine dress him up in cute little outfits or Alador braid his hair <33

But yea I’m going to stop here because this is probably long enough & I don’t want to spam your box LMAO I just needed to rant about this because I love the past Hexside crew so much I have such a soft spot for all of them
