And yeah, I agree with the people saying that at this point the Gear 5 gags of the eye-popping and the exaggerated expressions are kind of being overused, but in this case the transformation was the catalyst for awakening the ancient robot so I can forgive it since it has greater plot implications.

Really nice touch with the flashback being something that Kizaru’s actively thinking about, because at this point he’s made it clear that he’s taking no pleasure in following his current orders and yet…he knows exactly how proud Vegapunk was of that robot and what it represented to him so in effect he’s not only destroying a robot, he’s destroying something that Vegapunk actively labeled a ‘dream’ in the process.
