me wanting to like them and thinking they’re cute aside, there obviously is a pragmatic side to this.

the life of a supervillain sounds real hard, you got enemies everywhere. at least the capes know other superheroes are their allies, these kids only have more people to fight. 

makes sense they’d be on the lookout for more firepower, there’s strength in numbers

oof girl. personally, touch and sound are the worst when sensory overload comes for me, but this sounds like all round hell. while we’re at it, i appreciate the realism in dealing with this kind of sensory power. most stories would’ve probably hand waved it as a Thing Protag Can Do so she can conveniently know about incoming threats (and promptly forget about it when the story needs to surprise her), but here we have a clear and realistic explanation as to why you wouldn’t want to use this all the time, even if it would clearly be an advantage in any situation

you could just say that’s casual wear to you cause you’re most comfortable when impervious to most physical forms of attack. i’m sure they’d understand
