Love Crime || Hannibal & Will
closed with @theiirstoriies
“It really does look black in the moonlight.” Will reached for him.
The light from our friendship won’t reach us for a million years. That’s how far away from friendship we are.
But he reached for him now. Hannibal took his hand, pulling Will to his feet, pulling him close. Finally. He’s overcome with emotion. Emotions that he can’t even begin to name in his current state. Emotions that normally hide far far beneath the surface of his person suit. But not for Will Graham. For Will Graham, Hannibal’s emotions shine.
“See? This is all I ever wanted for you, Will. For both of us.” Their breath came in harsh pants, he could still smell the adrenaline coming off Will. Almost like he was anticipating something- Will dropped his head onto Hannibal’s shoulder and the thought flew away like an ortolan escaping it’s fate.
He closed his eyes. Pressed his head against Will’s. And when he felt them start to tip, he leaned into the fall, ready to face the afterlife with Will.
---
The afterlife contained more rocking than Hannibal had anticipated. He supposed it was meant to be soothing. Many people felt very comforted with a rocking motion. But Hannibal wasn’t most people, and he found himself disappointed that God hadn’t remembered that. He was in a bed of some kind. Not very comfortable. His body was telling him he was hurt, but not so badly he couldn’t move. He sat up.
When he opened his eyes he was flat on his back. Perhaps he was too hurt to move then. He could hear someone moving around above him. Up on deck. He smiled very slightly to himself. “Will!” He called. Who else could it be?
