Wow, four character cheatsheets already!!

A Quick Introduction

Aislin is not afraid to speak her mind, but prefers to stay out of sight. She makes friends pretty easily, but only has a small group of people she really trusts. She’s excellent at poisoning and antidotes, and through mithridatism, is mostly immune to a few herself. She is a mother of a young son, and has a doting husband. She lives in a dorm, in the city center. Strangers would describe her as such: open and friendly. Friends would describe her as such: clever and cunning.

“Let go of her, C, J.” Molly is released and she crumples to the ground, leaking blood from a dozen different wounds. Anger races through me, fueling my thoughts. Acting subconsciously, I look around me and a plan starts to form in my mind. It isn’t the best, but it probably will work. At this point in time, I’m willing to try anything, if it means they’ll stop hurting Molly. I pick up a small pebble. With practiced aim, I fling it. It hits one of the men, and he falls to the ground, knocked out. I silently thank my husband for insisting I learn how to throw things with accuracy.

Secret

She would do absolutely anything for her son, even if it’s illegal. This is explored in the story.

A Quick Introduction

Aure is softspoken and another cinnamon roll (sorry, I adore cinnamon rolls). She isn’t a big fan of socialising, but curiosity will always get the better of her (think Alice from Alice in Wonderland). In time, she will have a decent collection of nifty weapons disguised as everyday objects. She does not know who or where her mother is, and lives with her father in the apartment above their shop. Aure is brave when the situation demands it, as you will see when the story progresses (much like Neville Longbottom). Strangers would describe her as such: quiet and unassuming. Friends will describe her as such: cheerful and curious.

I sit gloomily at the cashier counter, letting my finger run over the cool marble top. Left, right, left, right. Business has been slow lately. Oh, who am I kidding? Business has always been slow, but never this quiet before. We used to get at least one person every two days, but I haven’t seen a single soul in this shop other than my father in four. Sighing, I lazily reach out a hand to straighten the mini canvas sitting on the edge of the counter. I painted that, the colours matching perfectly. I have an uncanny gift for recognising the exact shade of a colour and its name. Dad says it’s because I’ve read too many art books, and I’m inclined to agree.

Welcome to the first-ever Character Cheatsheet! Today, I will be sharing my first (by this I mean the first I came up with) character with you.

About

- Elevynne True [eh-luh-veen]

- 20 (really, she’s 80, but for convenience’s sake, I’m going by human years)

A Quick Introduction

Elevynne is, simply put, lethal. She knows numerous ways of killing someone with her bare hands, and even more with weapons. She is the proud owner of a custom whip that can be disguised as a necklace, belt, or bracelet. Her past is mostly bittersweet, and she suffers from traumatic flashbacks with triggers. She is extremely loyal, and while it is difficult to gain her trust, once you get it, you’re in forever. Strangers would describe her as such: terrifyingly beautiful and a power to behold. Friends would describe her as such: amazing and one dangerous killing machine.

I take one look, fold my arms, and stare Iane down. “You brought me all the way here to look at an antiques shop. “Of all things, Iane! Why an antiques shop?” I throw my hands in the air in exasperation. “You know what, don’t answer that. I don’t think my ears can take another round of your sweet-talking me into doing something stupid. Remember the Great Fiasco of Year 186? Yeah, I’d really like to avoid a part two.”

She’s a huge cat lover, not that anyone needs to know that.
