Also Ren straight up says he can get carsick and likely doesn’t like roller coasters.(Especially in comparison to Nagisa who loves them.)
But the fandom seems to have missed that.(Maybe because his spin attacks in Strikers?)
ren not being the biggest fan of rollercoasters because of his height intolerance checks out. he never outright says he can't stand them, but he's not exactly excited at the prospect of riding one. just look at this gayass interaction between these two goobers that knocks me on my ass every time
RYUJI: Here we are... Just two dudes alone at an amusement park...
RYUJI: Not like there's anything wrong with that. Though I guess it'd be better comin' with a girl...
RYUJI: Whatever, I'm acceptin' my fate. C'mon, let's get over to a roller coaster! I'm ready to scream!
Don't get sick again, okay?
> Go by yourself.
Let's ride the Ferris wheel.
RYUJI: Huh!? You afraid or something?
RYUJI: Don't worry, man. I'll be there to protect you.
RYUJI: Wait, that came out wrong...
Don't get sick again, okay?
Go by yourself.
> Let's ride the Ferris wheel.
RYUJI: Dude, you tryin' to punish me with that borin' shit?
RYUJI: Are you afraid? You are, aren't you?
RYUJI: C'mon, let's go!
NONE of these prompts are giving the vibes of someone who has a significant amount of fun riding these rides. hell, two out of three of them are just different ways of expressing 'i don't want to do that.' though, i feel like they'd be more tolerant of them the longer they are into their career as a phantom thief.
and YEA HE ALSO IS PRONE TO GETTING CARSICK. i noticed that too... after makoto has her awakening he tells morgana he gets carsick.
MORGANA: A motorcycle―shaped Persona, huh...
MORGANA: You know, I can turn into a car too, so it's like... I feel a sense of familiarity?
> Motorcycles are cooler.
> Maybe you're a Persona?
> I get carsick...
MORGANA: You better not throw up in me!
and also this mementos interaction
MORGANA: I bet you're nice and comfy riding around in me, right? You sure didn't expect that, didja?
>Yes, it's quite nice.
> Actually, I'm carsick right now.
MORGANA: Well... Uh... Driving on the tracks is going to be bumpy. Nothing I can do about that!
i'd imagine they can feel very anxious during long car rides, so the feelings of carsickness don't just come from driving on uneven terrain and vertigo kicking his ass. they'll start to feel queasy and somewhat claustrophobic and will need to roll down the window and feel the wind on his face and fill his ears with the noise to help ground him.
