【 💣 】— “To be fair, have I ever been sure about anything?” Cottonbelle asked, fidgeting with the lapel of the Great Khan vest she had on with one hand, the other placed quizzically on her chin.

      “That Jack guy and several others explicitly said that the Fiends get their chems from Great Khans, so what better way to assassinate their leader than by disguising as their post-apocalyptic drug-dealing ice cream man, right?” It wasn’t like they could just barge into a highly-secured vault and slaughter every Fiend in view until they made it to Motor-Runner... or could they? ...Nah, that’d be stupider than this idea.

        “Who knows? We might even start a gang war this way-- take the Fiends focus off of Vegas.”

【🔧】— “Think we’d need a fatman t’ blow this door open, but th’ offer’s appreciated, nonetheless,” Danielle stated, glancing over her shoulder at the young woman.

     It was strange, coming back here, to the Hidden Valley Bunker. The last time she had came here was about thirty-five years ago, when she had travelled here from Texas looking for a new home to rejoin, only to get radio silence on the other end, an unspoken rejection to return to a life she used to know.

       She wanted nothing to do with the Brotherhood now, hearing of how isolated and strict to literal interpretations to the Codex that they were compared to the Texan expedition, but with more and more securitrons going missing in the area, and the Courier stating that they wanted to leave them alone, Danielle felt the responsibility to recover the bots, or at least, keep the Brotherhood from attacking more, fell on her hands.

        Of course, if she had the foresight to know that Mr. House would order the Courier to destroy the bunker, she wouldn’t be bothering with this.

🔅💣🔹– Ah, there it was, the infamous sound of metal clanking to the ground and the Courier’s renowned ‘Oops’ shortly following afterwards. Cotton wasn’t even entirely all that sure what she had broken or if it could be fixed, but the terminal making a strange dial-up noise caused the former tribal to back away from it, alarmed.

       “Hey uh... Verona... no... Veronica,” she was still getting used to having the scribe follow her around, “um... I’m not sure if I did this right.”
