#ch6 progress update

So, it has been a week since my last post. Where we at?

The fic officially turned 4 years old on the 22nd! I completely forgot but I seem to forget every year. When we first began we had no idea how long it would take us to finish but 4 years. probably wasn't expected. Despite that, it's crazy to think how long it's been since the prologue. While I've lost and gained interests over that time, I still have a soft spot for this fic (well I sure hope so since I'm still working on it)

Writing: I'm not really sure how to describe things without giving the word count away so I'll just say that I've written about 10 more pages so far.

Art: Although no CGs have been worked on yet, I am working on something else art-related. It's still in very early stages, but it will get revealed before the chapters are released.

Extra: I'm working on an another little thing for the fic. I can't say much about it right now, but it will take place after I've finished all the writing.

In terms of the 'ask the characters' thing, I think I want to wait a little before I do that, since I'm really focusing on the writing right now. Maybe give it another week and we'll see.

ok so it turns out that if you decide to do all the writing before the art then you really don't have anything to show in terms of updates

like I've done 2 cgs and in the middle of the next one. granted these were pretty full-on drawings with multiple characters but still. so unless you guys don't mind a bi-weekly post that says "yeah I've done a cg." then I'm not sure what else to post other than shitposts or memes for the time being.

To be real I love being transparent as possible with you guys as I don't want to leave you in the dark with how progress is doing, but I also don't want to make boring posts either? Unless I'm overthinking it and you jump for joy at seeing these. In that case keep jumping

Wait was I doing these on Saturday? Ah well Sunday it is.

Writing: I've had a bit of a busy week where I was unsure if I'd get much writing done. In spite of that I forced myself to lock in today and wrote like 2k. I might even go back and write some more oh my god. Let's just say I hit a pretty good milestone in the chapter, and things should be smooth sailing from here.

Art: At this point, I think I might start the investigation CGs next week. With where I am in the writing, it seems like it's finally time. Oh boy I can't wait to lock Rexx in the basement again! (this is an inside joke I promise I don't actually do that)

No promises but. The investigation coming out this month? You never know.

So according to the only answer we got, the fics taste like a "really yummy tiramisu that also makes you big sad" and yes. I agree on that one

Writing: oh hey guess what. no seriously guess. guess guess guess. yeah that's right THE WRITING IS COMPLETE!!!!! RAHHHHH!!!!

Unless I decide to throw in a last-minute change, the writing for the final chapter is all done. Yes, it is longer than trial 5. By how much? Hm... I'ma keep dat to myself fo now 😈

Art: With the writing all done, me and Rexx can finally move onto the art department! Now... All I will say is that I may or may not be a little bit too ambitious here so. Don't know how long it's all gonna take. But I'm excited for it so there's that

Although I'm still working on that little video I mentioned in the post prior, so I might want to finish that first.

Oh and I made some more progress in Miitopia so I will bless you all with some very cursed screenshots!

let's get jiggy with it

Firstly, I'd like to start by saying I've loved the reception towards the investigation so far!! It's only been a few days since the chapter dropped but I've enjoyed reading all the current comments and theories, and I'm super excited for whatever's next to come! I'm slowly making my way through replying to all the comments, so bare with lol

My favourite part has definitely been the reactions towards a certain someone making an appearance. It makes me feel so devious 😈

So then, how's the final chapter getting along?

Writing: I'm still a ways off from officially saying it's close to completion. That being said, I'm reaching closer and closer to the home stretch. Now the investigation's out, I can direct my full focus towards it.

Art: I'm not sure when I'll start the art for this chapter. I have ideas to do some other pieces beforehand, but we'll see. Rexx sure loves this time being out the basement though (I'm keeping my eye on them...)

question of the week: what does DR69 and DR96 taste like?

Writing: boy oh boy things surely are getting places. I am in the final stages of things. And let's just say... this baby is gonna be longer than trial 5. thank god there isn't a chapter 7.

Will I be able to get it all done by next week...? Uh, hopefully idk

Art: I'm sort of doing my own thang rn while I'm free from chapter art. I'm making a little video so look forward to that teehee

Also I've began replaying Miitopia on my DS (I do have the switch version too but I wanted to start a fresh playthrough) and while my main team consists of my OCs, I've made some of the side characters familiar faces...

This is going to be a quick, informal update post on chapter 6.

I'm gonna change these posts to every two weeks (unless I have something significant I want to share sooner) as I feel sharing progress on art isn't going to be very distinctive. There's quite a lot more to do this time around as I really wanna be ambitious for the final chapter.

Most of my time this week has been spent making the video I posted before this, but I have sketched out the first CG--it's a pretty involved one phewie

While me and Rexx work on the art, I will also be working on another fic: the one mentioned in this post here. Yes from almost 2 years ago lol

wow guys! chapter 6 investigation only (less than) a week away! woohoo! I am so happy about this information!

but what da hell is that trial doing

Writing: Although I didn't do as much writing this week, I did write a scene I've been looking forward to for a while now so. hehe

If I actually lock in, I might be able to finish it in two weeks. Might being the keyword. Mighty morphin power rangers (maybe that's what I'll start calling the current group... yeah... yeah...)

Art: I've (finally) managed to get done another CG, and the lineart of the next CG I'm working on. Rexx has finished a CG too, and I must admit the last minute addition is very delicious 😈

As a treat I'll let ya in on a little secret about the deadly's word count: yes, it is the longest investigation chapter. wait was this a secret or just expected
