1, 3, 19 and 30 for mattias tess and coco!

1. how does your character sleep? peacefully, fitfully? what position do they sleep in? what is their typical bedding like?

mattias— he doesn’t sleep, being undead and everything, and spends his nights being his most productive (and by that i mean killing someone or doing other illegal stuff that’s easier in the dark). he does get a bit lethargic during the day, what with the sun being so bright, and isn’t against taking a nap.

tess— she sleeps fairly well, although after she starts getting involved with matt and coco she starts having nightmares about what she’s seen and been through. tess doesn’t half-ass her feelings, and her anxieties and fears tend to follow her quite quickly into bed. she likes huddling with at least two extra pillows.

coco— like matt coco doesn’t sleep either, and takes advantage of that by spending a lot of time at nightclubs and bars until she’s kicked out, or by helping matt with whatever shady shit he’s involved in. she doesn’t even own a bed.

3. how easy to annoy is your oc? do they have common pet-peeves or are they stoic in response to everything? what is their reaction if the source doesn’t stop?

mattias— he can be patient and hold himself back when he really needs to, but matt isn’t particularly known for being someone who takes being annoyed well. his temper is quick to snap, and while he takes great pleasure in annoying other people, won’t put up with personally being annoyed for very long. a fist in the face usually shuts people up if they’re really getting on his nerves, or a flash of fangs. 

tess— as much as she tries not to be, tess is very easy to tease and make fun off because she falls for the bait every time. she’ll snap back, grumble, get red in frustration/embarrassment, the whole show. if it doesn’t let up she’ll usually make herself get up and leave, or keep arguing until the other person backs down. 

coco— coco isn’t known for taking any shit. at all. she’s more likely to kick you in the balls then put up with anything. she has no time for anyone’s bullshit, and humans tend to have a lot of bullshit to share around.

19. if someone was describing your oc to someone who had never met them, what distinguishing features would they mention? how would one identify your oc in a crowd?

mattias— the angular features, piercing eyes, and height will usually help anyone pick mattias out of a crowd. that, and the general air of “i could kill you with my little finger and probably enjoy myself in the process”. 

tess— very blonde and sunkissed with a kind smile. she’s all warm hues and soft edges.

coco— red haired, narcissistic and a bit of a bitch who likes flashing her fangs around like a new pair of shoes. 

30. what topics does your oc know the most about? are these obvious or would these be surprising to others?

mattias— he knows a lot about business (how to run one, how to bankrupt one, how to make yourself a lot of money) and also about the crime underworld. he’s also pretty knowledgeable about vampires in general, and knows a few people in high places. the only surprising thing would be how much he knows about music.

tess— being a nurse she knows a lot about medicine, and how to help people, which wouldn’t really be a surprise to anyone. she also, surprisingly, knows a lot about how to handle and shoot and look after a gun.

coco— she knows a lot about sex. and partying. and how to dispose of a body and get away with it. and also fashion, but that’s all expected with coco. the fact that she knows enough languages to fill both hands is always a bit of a shock.

what do mattias, coco and tess think of each other? do the girls ever gang up on mattias?

coco thinks matt’s an idiot. perpetually. she’s always giving him shit, always picking on him and making snide remarks behind his back and just generally being a colossal pain in his ass. he usually puts up with it, but only because it’s coco (any other vamp stupid enough to give him even the smallest bit of shit would get mutilated enough that it takes at least two weeks to fully heal. at least). beneath her teasing and sarcasm and supposed annoyance towards matt though, coco hasn’t cared for anyone as much as him since she was a human. he protects her, looks out for her, stands by her, and she would do almost anything for him. they’ve had each other’s back for so long that neither could imagine not having the other around, even if they fight endlessly. matt is a bit harsher with her, but when he’s loyal to someone, he’s loyal until the end, and he would lose his shit if anything happened to coco.

tess almost forcefully makes herself a space in the trio. coco initially thinks matt’s just associating with her for the sex and blood, but when the small stubborn blonde keeps showing up coco does the double take. she notices the change, notices the way he acts like tess has him around his little finger, notices and gets angered at the way the human suddenly has such a big say (there’s a conversation, at one point, where coco hisses out that he’s hers, and tess comes to realise the predatory possessiveness of vamps). tess is less angry at coco and more … intimated. she’d feel inferior if she met a human that looked like coco, let alone a someone who looks like That and can also tear her apart with barely a flick of her wrist. after the anger and jealousy and fear eventually fades between them though, coco and tess come to be amazing friends. it’s the slowburn friendship! (coco still grumbles about being stuck with the two idiotic stubborn blondes though, because it wouldn’t be coco without some mild complaining)

as for tess and mattias … that’s a Whole other can of worms. the initial resentment. the opposition and arguing, the constant arguing in the beginning. the moment when she sees him for the monster he truly is. the shared trauma and guilt and time spent apart. the pining. the jealousy. the reunion and tentative alliance. a bridge of friendship built by coco. the slow reintroduction into each others lives. the sudden protectiveness. oh God … and the Sexual Tension. the constant sexual tension. and the Angst. man i love them …..

mattias, feral and bloodied with his fangs fully out and pupils blown wide, hair streaked with blood and a stake through his thigh where it missed his heart. tess standing there in horror as he moves to turn on her but forcefully pulls himself back at the last second by shoving the stake deeper, yelling at coco through his teeth to get tess out of there while he’s crouched in pain, almost convulsing from the blood high.
