More MUSIC from the New Orleans Adventures!
I am just a shot of faery dust on the magical moments this extremely talented & bright minded young woman shares with the world. My cohort. My gal-pal. Co-writer. Thread Weaver. My Road companion. Bestie Brainstormer. My accountability partner...My love & adoration are with you always. You believe in me & I believe in you. An artist finds love, belonging and true identity making music in the woods. Emily Kate Boyd's latest project is a band, a record and a short film by the same name, Billie in the Woods. Take this soundtrack (via SoundCloud) to your ears with gusto, as it could change your life or the life of someone you love. I am proud to be apart of this amazing work of art. Infinite Love, Peace & Music in the Streets fF
You're listening to the first ever mastered track by Billie in the Woods! Thanks to the support of our patron family tribe, we were able to get this track on a compilation cd headed to Sundance Film Festival! I am so thankful to Helme, Paul & Claire - The Billie NOLA Tracks "executive producers" and angels for making this mastered music possible.
Tracked live at Fudge Recording Studio in New Orleans. Engineered by Jack Miele and Mixed/Mastered by Dran Michael.
Musician Credits: Emily Kate Boyd on Vocals/Guitar, Faye Petree on Fiddle/Violin, ChadMo on Drums/Clarinet, Graham Robinson on Bass.

I'm a tourist in New Orleans. When I was busking in the cool February streets earlier this year, I was what the locals call a 'tourist playing for tourists'.
Chad Mo (I pronounce like a Brazilada, "Cha-gee- Mo') is the drummer and clarinet player in Billie in the Woods, and he is a true student of jazz music in New Orleans and worldwide. Spend a few moments with Chad and he'll blow your mind and remind you how little you know about music.
Here are 3 things Chad Mo reminded me about music while I was in New Orleans again last week with the Little Lady Tribe, Billie in the Woods, Fudge Recording Studios, GypsyFiddle and all the brands that float our ideas above drowning where artist have plenty to eat.
The 3 Music Lessons are:
1. What makes music "music" is rhythm.
2. Everything goes back to Africa, even the banjo ("banjar")
3. The "real black music" goes down at the Candlelight Lounge in the Treme.
