Each year, GISH participants work to Change A Life by making a profound difference in the lives of people and communities facing extraordinary hardship. Since 2011, Gishers have helped a wounded US veteran rebuild his life, provided life-saving resources for Syrian refugees, given hundreds of at-risk ...
Okay y'all. I've been (trying) to do this thing called GISH for the first time this year. (Been a hectic week so I haven't been able to do as many items as I would have liked to.) The whole motto of GISH boils down to "have fun, be weird, do good." GISH is primarily a vehicle for charity and random acts of kindness, which funnily enough coincides with the charity they work the most with Random Acts.
Like I said, I haven't been able to do much for my team this year, and I'm not allowed to post what I have done until after judging, but one thing I can do is share a link to a fundraiser we're contributing to, which will help kids and farmers in Laos get prosthetic limbs. We're hoping to get at least 10 people to donate to the cause. GISH dreams big and they're sending the money raised (the goal is $150,000) to pay for as many limbs as possible. If you're interested, maybe check it out?

Some friends and I may be a little crazy but we have signed up for a 100km non-stop walk next year. We are aiming to complete it in 24-30 hours. We will be walking most weekends and evenings in training for the event in March. It is a charity event and all proceeds go towards the work that Oxfam do around the world. Would be cool if you could donate some cents towards this fantastic cause (click on the link below) and watch out for the updates and the craziness we are getting ourselves into! xox
