Bocaj: the question is whether Gensokyo itself counts as a supernatural phenomenon. Top scienticians such as myself say yes.
Chagen: Well, then Yuugi is basically god if that's correct.
Bocaj: >Yuugi: Ascend to Godhood in three steps
: >Fondly regard sake
: It is exquisite.
Chagen: So, I've been actually writing EaCM, and, holy shit, coming up with all these Story Arcs is hard. I didn't think it would be this difficult trying to give everyone screen time, especially since it has no real plot. God damn, writing a Shōnen/Seinen Fighting Series is way harder than I thought.
Bocaj: Its weird because from what you've been saying, it seems like you have a lot of plot points.
Chagen: Yeah, but that's in the backstories. The main fic itself is about comedy and badass fights and character interaction....and not much else.
SuperDimensionMan: Interesting. You didn't strike me as a comedian — not even an inept one like me.
Chagen: Trust me, I'm good at it. Take a look at EaCM chapter one; some of the folks at MotK said it was one of the funniest things they'd ever read.
SuperDimensionMan: I'm not really sure how to respond to that.
So, at one point I suggested that Chagen make his own thread dedicated to his story. When he faffed about and joked about being too much of a procrastinator to actually do it, I got pushy and made the thread for him.
I can't remember if I was just trying to get him away from me or if I was actually trying to help him, but I think it was a little bit of both. I always found the guy irritating and kind of creepy, but right until the moment I snapped at him, I actually admired him for his perseverance. He had a vision, as misguided as it was, and he held on to it for better or for worse.
Chagen: I've been coming up with a power level chart for all the touh- I mean, canon characters. Now, before you start getting worried at the imminent Flame War/Debate, I'm just going to say that I didn't come here to debate power levels.
SuperDimensionMan: Of course! There's no need for debate, I'll settle it right now: the most powerful character in the entirety of the Touhou canon is inarguably Shingyoku, and anyone who disagrees is clearly stupid, deranged or both.
Chagen: Man I suck at wording questions...
SuperDimensionMan: I'll help you improve right here: next time, don't refer to the subjects of that question as "the Touhous, " seriously or not.
Chagen: Well, this topic got derailed fast.
Bocaj: Two off-topic comments is more of a detour, tangent, or diversion than a derailing. A derailing requires a buffalo head penny.
SuperDimensionMan: On the other hand, I would contend that if you thought this thread had any rails from which to be derailed, you were sorely mistaken.
