Imogen was in the corner of the club drinking with her friends while waiting for Chase who was in the DJ booth. In all honesty she was happy to have had her best friend in her life again although it was a bit awkward after everything that had went down between the two of them. “Imogen! Want another drink?” One of her friends asked though she wasn’t paying attention as soon as her phone vibrated ‘Fuck off xx’ she sent back then finally looked up at her friend and shook her head “Hey, come with me really quick? I just kind of want to do something.” The female stated with a small smile as her female friend nodded. Once the two made it to the dance floor, the girl looked up at the DJ in the booth “Hey mister DJ play something worth dancing to!” she yelled over the music as others around her laughed. For a few minutes both of the females started yelling insults towards the male.

Chase's eyes watched over as she  and one of their friends made it his way. He smirked and rolled his eyes. He flipped her off “Fuck you, fuck you, fuck you,” he jokingly mouthed to her repeatedly. After finishing his turn, he went down to find Imogen and wrapped his arms around her from behind. “You look really good tonight.” he whispered in her ear. He placed a kiss on her shoulder and slowly up to her neck, after making sure their friends weren’t looking but even if they did, at this point he didn’t care. Why would it matter anyway? “Do you wanna go sit?” he asked now running his hands down her arms gently. He led them out of the way and went to their table. “Chase!” a familiar voice called out. It was Autumn. “Oh hey.” He smiled friendly and his attention went back to Imogen. “Anyway. So-” She was starting to be all touchy towards him and hold his hand and Chase politely pulled away and smiled. “Awe, stop Autumn.” he pulled away uncomfortably and leaned more into Imogen. He didn’t want to be rude about it but she kept touching him. “Autumn. Stop touching me... No, stop.” He told her over and over.

Chase was doing his thing DJ-ing in the booth with the loud and usual crowded place. It had been a few days since the catastrophe with Nate but he was safe in the hospital for a while. Though he didn’t mean for it to go that far, he felt like he got what he deserved and he felt at ease that his friends didn’t take it personal and were still cool with him. But it did raise suspicion for Chase and Imogen as to why he cared that much, but they figured it was just him being a good friend. A few times Chase wold wander around the club in search of Imogen and every time his eyes caught hers, he would give her a smile or a funny face. ‘ Later on you can come up here. :) ‘ he sent her a text

“Don’t thank me, Chase. I would have done it anyways, you should visit her more often i’m sure she’s getting sick of me talking about bunnies and cats and dogs.” She stated with a chuckle, she had always found peace in talking to Dolores, she felt as if she were her friend even though she wasn’t around. The thoughts quickly exited her mind once Chase parted her legs. Holy shit. Her breathing slowed as he touched her, gulping loudly she shook her head “N-no, i don’t. But i do recall you moaning a lot.” Imogen whispered as she ran a hand through his hair then tugged onto it roughly. “Imogen where the fuck are you?” Nate’s voice rang through the kitchen which made her move Chase’s hands quickly as she jumped off the counter “What’s up?” she asked nervously, feeling bad for what had just happened with Chase when she already had someone. “Are you fucking stupid? It’s supposed to be a movie night and there’s no movie playing. You’re so damn slow. Hurry the fuck up.” Deciding to let the rude words go, the female gave one glace to the other male before walking out of the kitchen.

Chase smirked and licked his lips “Yeah? Well I recall you moaning a lot. I recall your legs shaking..” he let out a small but audible hiss when she tugged on his hair, one of his turn ons.  “So do you want still say that you think we should forget about it?" He smirked and was quickly taken back when she pulled away. Why the fuck?... He thought to himself and composed himself but the composure quickly vanished when he heard the way Nate was talking to her. His mind was racing but without a second thought, he came at Nate. He pushed Imogen back and grabbed Nate by the throat, slamming him to the wall. "WHO THE FUCK DO YOU THINK YOU ARE?! HUH?!" Chase yelled as he pinned him to the wall. "Chase stop!" A guy started to pull him off but the grip around Nate's neck was causing his face to turn purple. Everything was happening so fast and they're friends begged for Chase to stop. Finally having enough people to pull him off, Chase threw him down like he was the hulk or something. His breathing was uneven as a few of the people started to help him. "I.. can't breath.." Nate gasped, holding his neck. "He needs to go to the hospital." . "I'll drive him." , "I think he's gonna be okay though." the chatter among them and Chase tugged on his hair before pulling Imogen outside. He slammed the door and paced back and forth for a second. "I told you... I told you to fucking stay away from him... You didn't fucking listen to me. Why with him!?" he finally stopped pacing and stepped in front of her, "I'm sorry.. I am.. Imogen I can treat you better.."

Imogen raised an eyebrow in confusion as she looked all around the kitchen “You do realize there’s food everywhere, correct?” She watched him for a moment before rolling her eyes “Okay, don’t flatter yourself. I just miss… having soup with you.” The female stated with a nod then laughed gently which almost made it seem normal again to do with him, something she hadn’t felt in a month. At first she didn’t know whether or not she should slap his hand away or push him away, instead she leaned in closer to him with a smirk “Really? I don’t recall wearing it around you. Maybe you’ve got me confused with someone else.” With one of her hands she pulled his hood off his head to see the full shape of his face and looked right back into his eyes, not breaking contact even for a second.

Chase chucled and shook his head. “Sorry, I know I just.. Bad choice of words.” he told her . His smile grew wide as she brought back up the soup thing and he sighed. “Yeah me too. I miss it.” he repeated. “By the way.. I don’t know why or.. Thank you for visiting her. And being there today. I usually don’t visit her but I’m sure she liked the company. She always was so fucking social for no reason.” he laughed nervously. Chase smirked and parted her legs. He pulled roughly, gripping her thighs. “No because you’re the only one.” he whispered honestly. When she leaned in, he laid his forehad on hers. “You don’t recall?” He moved to kiss on her neck teasingly, before letting his bottom lip drag against her skin. His hands lightly pushing up her dress. “Do you recall any of this?” he whispered directly against her ear.

Imogen was in a deep conversation with one of their friends until she heard her name being said, she turned towards the direction of the person who asked the question “It’s Trick R’ Treat. I only have horror movies and Sailor Moon box sets which are for me only.” She was about to turn back to talk to her friend but stopped when she saw Chase wander off into the kitchen alone. With a pout the female excused herself then sat on the counter top by her kitchen sink, crossing her legs so nothing would be showing. “Hey what are you doing in here alone? I thought you would be enjoying yourself.” the female grabbed leaned over to grab a few Doritos then slowly stiffed them in her mouth with an embarrassed smile. “You know they really missed you. Like a lot, it got to the point where all their bitching and moaning made me kind of missed you too. Well, missed your stupidity anyhow. I’ve become the stupid one in the group now.”

Chase heard the familiar females voice behind him and stared her up and down. “Hey, uh-- yeah, no, I was looking for food sorry.” he said leaning against the counter opposite other with his arms crossed. He listened to how everyone missed him and startred to feel bad that he didn’t keep in touch with them after ditching them. It almost made him sigh until Imogen started talking about how she missed him then made him laugh by talking about how stupid he was. “You missed me, Mimi?” he licked his lips with a smile, feeling thins pick up in a better mood. Taking a shot, he walked over to her and placed a hand on her leg. “Nice dress, it looks familiar.” he smirked eyeing her body then slowly back up to her eyes.

Imogen threw her head back with a laugh at one of her friend’s stories “You did not!” One of the guys she talked to nodded with a satisfying smirk “Oh but i really did, i have pictures to prove so!” As the female opened her mouth to speak she paused upon hearing a knock on the door and got up from her seat, making way to the door. Once she opened it she blinked a few times in confusion then remembered this mornings talk “Oh hey.” she spoke softly then looked down at what she was wearing which was the dress the female wore on their first date, she cursed herself and wished she’d worn something else. “Come on in. We’re just getting started.” She walked back to her seat and looked anywhere but his direction and their friends greeted him happily.

Chase stared at Imogen for a second then was soon pulled from his gaze when their friends geeted him happily. “Dude where have you been?” One questioned and gave im a bro hug. “Chase!” two girls squealed. “Why aven’t you been answering your phone, bruh?” another asked. The questions were flooding but he just smiled very small and hugged everyone back with one arm. “Guys let’s not dwell on past shit. What movie are we watching?” he asked. He asked. “Not sure, Imogen what was it again?” a friend asked the blue haired girl. “Chase, there’s loads of food in the kitchen get some and we’ll save a seat for you.” Chase made his way t the kitchen and looked over the variety of the food, alone in the kitchen. He just stared at one of the pizza boxes, feeling like maybe he shouldn’t have shown up, he felt like he and Imogen were not on good terms still. He didn’t want to weird anything out with her than they already were.

Imogen watched as he walked past her, maybe she’d overdone it? She turned to look at the male once he started talking to her. “I’m not heartless, Chase. I wanted to do it. You have have done the same.” Making her way towards him, she stopped in front of him giving him a quick hug with a sigh then pulled away slowly “I um, i have work right now. But tonight i’m having a movie night tonight and you should come. Be around friends and people who care about you instead of being along today.” Feeling as if she was making him awkward she moved away and got into her car, driving off with a wave and not another word.

He sighed listening to her speak and he knew she genuinely meant the best. He didn’t speak but just eyed her. “Maybe. Have a good day.” he spoke lowly and left. A few hours had passed and Chase was feeling pretty out of the ordinary to go to Imogen’s little movie party with all their friend. He hadn’t seen them nor cared enough to return any message or phone calls after he and her parted. But she was right, he shouldn’t be alone and she seemed inviting enough for him. Taking a sigh, he raised his hand and knocked on the door.

“What can i tell you that i haven’t already? I started working on a snake yesterday, they’re literally the worst to treat and it bit me, i nearly fai-” As soon as she heard the male’s voice she stopped and turned around slowly then got up from where she was sitting, dusting her pants off. She stared at him for a while without saying a word with a frown until she opened her mouth to finally speak. “I was visiting my grandparents about two weeks ago and i saw her name. I kind of put two and two together and she seemed lonely. I wanted to keep her company.. i um, i guess i should be going anyways.” Without another awkward interaction she walked past him then turned around to check if he would be okay.

Chase just stared at the blue haired girl and pursed his lips to the side. His eyes looked down then back up again as she tried to explain herself. “..Okay.” he whispered. Even though he wanted to stop her and ask more questions because of his confusion, he let her walk past. He had better things to worry about. He laid the flowers down next to the white ones. He slowly stuffed his hands into his pockets and cleared his throat, staring at the tombstone. “Hey mom..” he let out a small laugh and rolled his eyes. “Come on, you know I had to look good for you, momma don’t hate... So uh.. you and Imogen huh? You guys seem to know each other fairly well.” his smile soon faded. “...I wish you were here to meet her. She’s so amazing... But I fucked up and she doesn’t seem to think that about me.... No, mom I think I’m just gonna leave her alone... God you’re so persistent!” he chuckled which quickly grew into watery eyes. “It’s been a year since I’ve seen you,” his voice cracked as it got lower. “I uh... W-w...” he began to get choked up and he quickly wiped his face.

A whole month after the awkward conversation Imogen shared with Chase she went on with life normally, going in and out of work, hanging out with friends, going on dates with Nate it would have felt almost normal until she stumbled upon her old friend’s mother’s gravestone while visiting her grandparents at the graveyard. Every morning she made it an obligation to visit and talk to her about anything mostly about her son with some hope that she was listening to her. The female went to the graveyard with white roses in her hand, she laid them down and sat at a small distance in front of the stone “Hey Dolores.” Whispering the young adult sighed “How’s your morning going? I would have brought a book and read to you but i think that may be a little weird.” Letting out a giggle Imogen made herself comfortable in her usual spot unaware that this was the anniversary of her death.

It was a quiet month without talking to Imogen after their conversation and yet again, him confessing hi feelings toward her and her still not fully telling him she felt the same. He went on living his life, working and staying indoors, not hanging out with their friends. He kept to himself for the most part especially since the anniversary of his mothers death was coming up. Today was an emotional day for Chase. Quiet. He wore a jacket with a white button up and picked up a banquet of flowers. He finally arrived to the grave site and couldn’t believe what he saw. “Imogen?” he called out. “...What are you doing here?” his voice monotone and his look dropped to his mother tombstone.

Just, stop talking. That’s none of your business and honestly why does it matter?

Because Imogen! I can’t stand him, I can’t stand the idea of you two together or you with anyone else because no matter how mad you are at me, you are my girl. You are mine.

And I’ll wait for you... So push me away and tell me I’ll be waiting forever but I’ll do it... Why can’t you just admit that you like me too?

Such a nice friend you are leaving your other friends stranded and walking, please pat yourself on the back. It didn’t really look like she was- you know what i’m not having this conversation with you. You made your bed so i do hope you enjoy laying in it. I really don’t owe you shit but since you’ve asked Nate and i because an item a few days after i walked in on you.
