Holy beavers, Batman!

So we went out to Chain Lakes tonight because we thought maybe we'd catch the gigantic full moon rising behind this house at the end of the lake.

And to see the beavers that live there. It was kind of fail on the moon because it had moved like 5 degrees further north than yesterday. I did still get a couple of cool moon shots.

But the beavers, holy cow! There was 5 for sure, and possibly more. I've never seen that many beavers in one place before. I've also never gotten that close to them before. They were just sitting and chowing down on branches about 10 feet from us. So cool!

So, here are some portraits of beavers and a couple of nearly full moon shots.
