Opinion on Sansa and the Hound?

I used to have a lot of animosity towards the ship, because back four years ago it seemed like pxs shippers and sansan shippers were in direct competition with each other where we each thought OUR ship was gonna win the race you know?

Then…Jonsa happened….and sansa x pod, Sansa x gendry, Sansa x Brienne, but uuuuuh mostly jonsa, and I feel like warring sansan shippers and pxs shippers suddenly looked across and locked eyes admist all this romper room fucker and went

‘we’re both the most valid fuckers in this joint’

and now for the most part theres just a comfortable respect. I don’t think I’ve ever actually had a sansan shipper come for me, because both our ships are considered problematic in a few of the same ways. So we just leave each other alone and get on with our own business because even if the show has done BOTH of our ships bad (Our Bae is dead, the hound hasn’t even been on screen with sansa for like 5 seasons in a row), we still have the books, where both uuuuh could still happen I feel.

I don’t like the Hound with Sansa as a ship.

because even though they do have a connection certainly and I get the beauty and the beast trope, I just personally feel they are too too different to actually work. He works well as the gruff knight against her gentle princesses-ness because it serves to show her that good and evil are not so cut and dry. I really think thats Sandor’s purpose in Sansa’s story. I don’t think he’s her saviour, I think he’s there to show her that beauty does not equal goodness, and knights are not like how they are in the stories. Sandor is her harsh truth. I think the Hound really taught Sansa a deep lesson that has really ingrained itself in her. She still thinks of him. I think he also represents just how far she can twist these ugly truths to fit her need for things to be ‘romantic’, such as her mis-remembering the un-kiss. I don’t necessarily think he’s going to come back into her storyline or that he needs to, but I think he mattered a lot in her story.

I just finished End Walker, and it was absolutely fantastic. Thank you for posting a whole bunch of final fantasy stuff that made me want to get into the game, because the story was incredible.
