#eveningchai #photooftheday Do you know In ancient India, chai was not the term used for the tea we know today, but for a healing concoction made by brewing herbs and spices, much like the traditional kada. In fact, the earliest chai did not contain any tea leaves, and its recipes differed according to the seasons and available ingredients. As for the question when and where was milk added to tea, tea historians believe that the first iteration of chai with milk was developed by travellers and traders mostly likely from Gujarat, Maharashtra and Bengal, people who had easy access to good quality milk. With growing cross-country trade, sweet milky chai soon became the go-to drink, at least for the office bearers (and workers), to sustain a rather long day. Posted @withregram • @manavkaul हम चाय के शिकार लोग हैं। जितनी गर्मी पड़ती है उतनी ही चाय की तलब ज़ोर पकड़ती है। मन जब कड़क होता है तो चाय पुरज़ोर तूफ़ान बनती है... वर्ना अदरक की बड़ी मदद लेनी पड़ती है। बचपन की याद में दालचीनी डालते ही महक कश्मीर की उठती है। जब इन नज़रबंद दिनों में पहाड़ जाने को जी चाहता है तो चाय में सिर्फ़ इलायची काम आती है.. और मन पहाड़ हो जाता है। और ग़र कभी दूध फट जाए... तो हम काली चाय की तारीफ़ के क़सीदे पढ़कर काम चला लेते है... पर चाय खेल लेते हैं। ग्रीन टी नाम का एक विदेशी झूठ हर चाय प्रेमी के घर अपनी expiry date के बाद भी धूल खाता पाया जाता है... उसपर निगाह पड़ते ही एक चाय फिर पी जाती है। आज कल एक चयास बहुत ज़ोर पे है, काश जल्द ही हम नुक्कड़ की टपरी पर टन टन की आवाज़ों के बीच एक कटिंग मारे। आप कौन सी चाय के आदि हैं ? किस क़िस्म की चाय आप पीना चाहते हैं जो इस lock down में नहीं पी पा रहे हैं? #chaistories #lockdown #quarantine #stayhome #chai #chilover ☕️😋♥️ https://www.instagram.com/p/CAdQQo5JgDQ/?igshid=1h3xi2seesxsz
