Oh! What’s this?
He graciously accepts the folded paper with curiosity on his face. As he unravels it, his eyes widen and shine as he takes in the drawing.
“Oh my goodness, is that all of us?” it’s a rhetorical question, Rudy did very well at capturing everyone’s features to make them all recognizable. And no one’s on fire!
He’s a little choked up and teary-eyed when he reads the text. Now David’s trying not to bawl his eyes out, but he’s not known to hide his feelings here.“Aww kiddo, this is the sweetest thing I ever--...thank you, Rudy.”
He’s gonna need a minute.

“OHH! Oh my gosh, is this Muack?” David points at Rudy’s drawing of a little platypus looking creature. Her teeth were sharp and baring, but he was fixed on what appeared to be a bow on her tail.
It was one of many of Rudy’s AMAZING drawings along the chalkboard--how imaginative this boy was! He kind of wished they COULD put a bow on her tail.
