kevin definitely looks out of place here — his appearance is still shady as hell, & he looks much younger than most of the other parents; & yet, in all technicality, he does actually belong. it’s still something that surprises even him, but he doesn’t mind the odd looks he keeps getting from other parents — he didn’t come here for them, did he? no, he absolutely didn’t. his expression is sort of bored, apathetic, as he stands around & messes with his phone, waiting for his son to meet him outside ... but he hasn’t shown up, & before kevin knows it, he’s basically alone out here. did something happen? shit, he’s getting anxious again.
he waits for a while longer, but his gaze eventually finds a stray child, leaving the school after the majority of the other students have already flooded out. perfect. ❝ hey, uh ... kid? ❞ he calls out, taking a few steps closer to the boy. please don’t run from him. ❝ have you seen my son johnny? he’s blonde, uh ... about yea high ... ❞ kevin has to squat a little to indicate a rough estimate of his kid’s height with his flattened hand, but at least he’s closer to this other student’s level that way. ❝ ring any bells? ❞
