Challenge 100: Carousel Animal: Flamingo

For this challenge, I wanted to draw something fun. As one of the goofiest but beautiful birds around, the flamingo was a perfect option. I’ve styled him as I would imagine a real flamingo would react if dressed as a king and expected to give rides to children.

Challenge 100: Carousel Animal: World Turtle

Happy 100 challenges ya’ll! I personally haven’t been around Square Carousel since the beginning, but I have been around long enough to truly appreciate this massive milestone for the collective!

I chose to illustrate my carousel animal as the world turtle. I love anything that ties back to the ocean, nature and all of its beauty. Hope you enjoy!

Challenge 100: Carousel Animal: Griffin All of the fur and feather textures were a lot of fun to paint, which I guess is the reason I was drawn to it. Plus, I just felt like going a little mythological this time around! I would absolutely love to ride on a carousel of just mythological creatures. Does that exist? It should... *googling now* This is Square Carousel’s 100th challenge, which means it’s also MY 100th challenge with Square Carousel. I’m proud to say that I’ve been able to participate in every single one (only member to do so!), since summer of 2011. I love this group, and it has provided me with a lot of portfolio work, practice, kindness and support over the years. Cheers, SC, and here’s to 100 more! (eep!) Caitlin
