Challenge 132: Game Time: THE Ohio State Buckeyes Football Schedule 2020

So... I am quite the Buckeyes fan. Just in case you couldnt tell. This piece presented more struggles then I like to really talk about. I think the biggest reason is that I have too much personal ties with the subject. But I did like how it finished.

Just in time for this COVID stuff to slowly start lifting and hopefully a college football season soon.

Challenge 132: Game Time: Krampus Jinx

This past week has absolutely stopped me in my tracks, and honestly, art was the last thing on my mind. I was able to make some headway today, but haven't finished quite yet. I’m aiming to get the final version up soon so keep your eyes peeled for an update on this post 🖤 In general, I’ve been sitting on this design for a few years XD Started brainstorming the idea of a Christmas themed Jinx skin when I was creating LOL themed speed art videos on/ for Machinima Realm. I felt like Krampus/ his lore just really suited Jinx in general, plus who wouldn’t want a basket full of Poro’s!!!

Challenge 132: Game Time: Deck of Cards

I am a BIG fan of card games! I used to play solitaire all the time growing up. A few years ago my boyfriend taught me how to play Gin, and now we play almost every night while we eat dinner together. It’s become a great sense of comfort, especially during these uncertain times.

I always thought it would be fun to design my own deck of cards! Designing an entire deck is definitely a big undertaking, so I wanted to make sure I got the Queens represented first.

Challenge 132: Game Time: The Real Daisy Mae

It's Sunday morning and Daisy Mae is here to sell her turnips, how many would you like. Buying from Daisy and selling to Timmy and Tommy; making those bells through the turnip stock market. But what if these lovely animals in Animal Crossing were there actual animal companions. If Daisy Mae was the orange boar she was based on. Would you still love her and buy her turnip, even if they may have a little nibble taking from some, I think so. See you next Sunday!

Challenge 132: Game Time: Just One More Block

Whenever my husband and I get sucked into a game of Minecraft we somehow always end up pulling all-nighters, all the while saying “just one more block” and then I’ll go to bed. It’s a game I always return to because I love the challenge of collecting rare materials and the creativity of building ships, houses, farmland, and castles. It has a simple design, but is incredibly addicting and fun for people of all ages. This is my second laser cut piece and I originally wanted to do all of the layers of the earth. Had to stick to the base layers since this was much more work than I originally thought. I hope to keep adding to it in the future but for my first piece of laser cut landscape and my first piece of fanart in ages- I had a lot of fun!

Challenge 132: Game Time: Codenames I really love board games, and the pandemic has been a great opportunity to find/try more two-person games. One that we enjoy is Codenames (Codenames Duet is the two-person version), but I’m a huge snob and only want to own media (games, books, etc) with nice packaging, so putting this one on my shelf was against my own personal code of ethics (joking! -- kinda, haha). This challenge was a perfect opportunity to give Codenames the box art it deserves. Caitlin

Challenge 132: Game Time: Distracted

I’ve never been a big gamer. I rarely play video games, only occasionally play any board or card games, and haven’t played any sports since high school. I do, however, find myself very distracted by mobile games on my phone during private bathroom time, and I’m sure I’m not the only one.
