Challenge 66: They Draw & Travel (And Need Coffee While Doing It) So I made a map for Tallahassee’s best coffee places! This was quite the challenge. Pattern swatches are super super fun. *death*

Challenge 66: They Draw and Travel: Vermont
Because I CANNNNNNOTTTTT wait for ski season. Sadly, I completely goofed and did not make this They Draw and Travel size-friendly, so I will not be submitting this to their site, but I really loved working on representing my home state mountains. <3

Challenge 66: They Draw and Travel: Wolf Lake Ranch
My family has been going to WLR since I was 5, and I would have to say it is my favorite place in the whole world. You can almost think of it as camp for families.... Wet Hot American Summer-esque, with lots of riding horses through the Manistee National Forest in northern Michigan, lots of drinking around campfires, and skinny dipping in the lake.

Challenge 66: They Draw and Travel: Austin’s Taco Map
For this challenge I wanted to do an Austin map... but not just ANY map. I wanted to illustrate one of the things Austin does best--Breakfast Tacos! -Emily Link here! http://www.theydrawandtravel.com/illustrations/6935-austin-s-breakfast-taco-map
Challenge 66: They Draw and Travel: Big Bend At the beginning of the summer, my friends and I took an amazing trip to Big Bend National Park. It was a short visit, but definitely one I’ll never forget. I knew pretty quickly that celebrating the natural beauty of my home-state had to be the direction I took with this map! Challenge 66: They Draw and Travel
Back in 2011 when we were a brand-new group, we submitted together to They Draw and Travel (Challenge number 4, can you believe it?). The creators of the website, Nate and Salli, really took us under their wing and did some great promotion for the Square Carousel. Their enthusiasm also got us involved in a competition with the sister-site, They Draw and Cook, where we even had a couple of winners! That was some of the greatest publicity and positive feedback we could have gotten, as newbies to the “real world,” and I’ll be forever grateful to Nate and Salli! I figured since we are close to the four-year mark, what better time than now to give a TDAT map another try? Plus, I think Elizabeth and I are the only original members left from that challenge, way back when. Time for round two! Caitlin
