Tray of Italian Christmas Cookies - November 2017 http://michael-massa-micon.tumblr.com For the past nineteen years, since shortly after my mother died, I have been baking her Italian Christmas Cookies and sending them out to family. Originally, that included my dad, my in-laws, and an uncle, but now it is just my six siblings and my two sons. I bake enough so that I have some for other occasions, like a pot luck here at the condo or having our sons and their families here for Thanksgiving. This image is a tray I prepared for the condo pot luck. On the tray, starting from the outside in, are anise flavored thick pizzelle, brown sugar thin pizzelle, chambella (which is technically a bread), and zuccharini. I took the picture for my own files, but decided that it made and interesting enough image to post. MWM
