Some person that already called more than one time chamiko a pedophila pairing wrote sth like this on deviantart site. And I was like “oh my, really?”.Let me answer all of these questions which are in this text.

First of all what is a “pedophila”? It “is a psychiatric disorder in which an adult or older adolescent experiences a primary or exclusive sexual attraction to prepubescent children, generally age 11 years or younger” – this is what Wikipedia says https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pedophilia. Now let’s think… Is Kimiko 11 years old or younger? Ofc not… Jack’s little cousin was 10 years old (Megan). Fandom believes that in xs Kimiko is like 15-16 years old and in xc she is mostly 17-18. And at what age could be Chase when he turned to the Heylin side? 99% of xiaolin fandom gives him ~23 years. So for sure mental and physical difference between them is not that big.

Secondly… who is saying that must be sexual?!?! Chamiko’s relation can be pure romantically. Who says that Chase must have sexual interest to Kimiko? Every chamiko fan wants a romance between them, not sex. Especially that we speak about the cartoon. Most of us (especially me) imagine chamiko in way similar to Klaroline pairing from vampire diaries, so like this: Chase is romantically attracted to Kimiko, but Kimiko is pure good and she is loyal to the light side and her friends she doesn’t want to date Chase or anything like this unless he becomes good again. And so this declaration of her can have an effect on Chase and give to show some of his character development. But ofc it is just one of ideas how chamiko pairing can be created. I will never stop dreaming that Chase stops drinking Lao Mang Long, becomes mortal and so later he can have cute family with Kimiko and with her become in next future grandparents couple.

Thirdly: raikim fans are saying that Chase and Kimiko cannot be together and it is pedophilia because no matter what age difference is between their mental and physicals, Chase is still thousands years older. (It is so funny and hippocritical of them because they have no problem with shipping Chase with Katnappe XD) But what is immortality and how does it work? Being immortal means that somebody is simple FROZEN. This person does not age, body and mind of this person stays the same as it was in the day when he became immortal. And what is the most immortal the phenomenon of calling chamiko relationship a pedophile does not exist in ANY DIFFERENT SHOW OR MOVIE. Why those same ppl that are calling chamiko a pedophilia have no problem with couples like:

- Peter Pan and Wendy

- Arwen and Aragorn (Arwen was immortal elf)

- Susan and Prince Caspian from Narnia chronicles (Susan was 1300 years older than Caspian)

- Kida and Milo from Atlantis (Kida was a thousand years old because she was immortal thanks to her crystal while Milo was normal man)

- Klaus and Caroline (Klaus was thousands years old vampire)

- Bella and Edward (AND EVERY VAMPIRE PAIRINGS that are soo god damn popular)

- Hao and Anna from Shaman King (Hao was ~1000 years old, Anna was ~16)

- Geralt & Yennefer from Witcher (Yennefer has got a body and mind young, but she is for real over 200 years older because of her magic spells)

- Every pairing where wizard partner is somehow immortals thanks to his magic

- Disney pairings: let’s look at Disney princess – most of them are like ~16 years old and they get married to princes that are over 10 years older from princesses. Its more pedophile but nobody cares!

This list is huge and pairings like chamiko are everywhere. So please haters start to read more books and watch more movies than only shows with low productions because I’m worried about your imagination. Stop annoying me with your behavior and leave chamiko in peace.

And in the end I will tell you one more thing. Love between Kimiko and Chase (teenager and adult) is more real than “love” between two brats (Kimiko and Rai). This is way chamiko is getting more popular: people prefere to watch more mature love.
