I'm rotating a sfawtde crossover au with. Xiaolin Showdown, of all things. Why? Idk.
Take. A Derek who lived through The Everything and is co-piloting with TKIY. Avery is here, too, because we all need Avery in our lives. Recovery from however long Derek was in the chair, their lives are pretty good!
And then TKIY decides to inform them about some bean guy who, if left undefeated, will actually end the world. The world they happen to live in. Avery and Derek both big mad, because they Live There but also, what do you mean a group of kids is fighting this guy.
Good news! This fight won't be happening for like. A few years. Gooder news! It's happening over the Physical Location Of Earth's Physical Gates To Carcosa, so Kings can help more than feeding info to the both of them.
The Bad News? Bean guy is using the latent energy of Carcosa to fuel the end of the world. King's OWN energy is being used against his Knight and Jester, and he is MAAAAD about it.
So! There's some things they can do to prepare. Closing the gates will help, as will carving protection into the walls inside of Carcosa to prevent what Bean can get.
What will also help the most? Teaming up with, not the "good guy" kids, but the loner kid. And, oh, Derek is familiar with this kid. Or, well, the parents of this kid. Business rival families rub elbows.
One (1) Jack Spicer, neglected by the Spicer Parents, is unprepared for his parents business rivals kid and the boyfriend to show up at his house and offer their help to kill the Bean. And also to offer to get him out of Spicer clutches, for some support and love and all that. Please ignore the Eldritch Being tied to the business rivals kid.
And, we know Jack. He's suspicious, who wouldn't be, but it's Avery that wins him over. By just... Being Avery.
The xiaolin warriors are NOT ready for the parental wrath of one (1) Avery Hutchins-Mayo, livid that they broke into Jack's home for the perceived crime of Having Too Many Wu.
Should Avery be able to use Wu? No idea. I think it would be fun either way. Derek? Derek can't use the Wu. But, if Kings is in control, Kings can. But, Kings doesn't need to, and Derek doesn't need to because he has the Infinite Knowledge and also Kings.
All of this to say, Chase Young is NOT expecting to get his ass beat by a dude in khakis and flip flops while someone yells directions from the sidelines. For the crime of Being Mean To Jack. Chase Young does NOT stick around to figure out WTF is tied to Derek, because Chase can sense that he is the Prey in this situation and he does NOT want to deal with it.
