Lithos gives his fellow Shadar-Kai a rather blank look. "Just be thankful you're feeling anything at all. It means you're still alive, doesn't it?" The man was just as dismissive as always. He didn't quite understand the others insistence on trying to understand his own emotions. None of this mattered. They would each do their individual jobs and then return to the Shadowfell again where it would all be smothered like a tarp over a fire.

So he opted to ignore anything irrelevant that buzzed around in his head or just under his skin.

To find such a fascinating tower in what seemed to be the middle of nowhere in the Underdark was stimulating. To go through the books on the shelves, even though they were dusty and forgotten, Gwenifar couldn't help herself. She stood at a table near the wall, looking over a book discussing the studies of the person who had occupied it, especially about the sussur flowers.

She could feel him as he neared, the grime and sweat there, but also something distinctly him-pages of a book, the spices used for cooking, with a hint of rose water. The touch of his fingers grazing along her shoulder sent a reaction through her—

One she wasn't quite acquainted with, but she did not mind.

She turned to look at him, realizing how close he was as his hand rested on her shoulder, looking at the tomes she had in front of her. When his gaze came to hers, she was thankful it was dark and he couldn't see how profusely she was blushing, judging by how warm her cheeks were.

"These...These studies are fascinating," she said after a moment, turning back to look at the books. She was rather aware the others were searching other floors for something useful, leaving her and Gale quite alone.

Cassian chuffed again at his husband, biting at the sleeve of his robe to gently insist he take a break. Well, really, Cassian just wanted to cuddle, but Gale needed a break, too. He released him only to walk to their bedroom, pausing only to make sure Gale followed him.

It's nice, being able to settle into the comfort of the Elfsong Tavern. Serendipity wastes no time in familiarizing himself with the softness of the beds offered to them -- for free, by the way. The perks of knowing how to say just the right thing at the right time.

He sits now in one of the nice chairs, feet tucked under him as he opens a book. His eyes skim the words for a moment before he looks up at Gale. He's...a bit too excited to read at this very moment.

" So, what's to be expected at this Sorcerous Sundries? " he asks, tilting his head. " Can't say I've ever been, myself. "

Leliana chuckled a bit as she pressed a kiss to Elysia's shoulder. "I wish we had the time to laze about in bed, but I am sure that the rest of our companions may not appreciate that use of time." She spoke with a soft smile gracing her lips.

In the short time she had been in the group, there was one particular person that she had grown close to... and she couldn't deny that her deadened heart was set aflutter whenever he was near. The crush on Gale was quite the realization on her part, but the longer she went on with the crush, the more she realized one glaring truth:

He deserved to know what she was.

The fear of acknowledging it kept her from telling him a few times before, but this night? She was determined to say something. Approaching his tent, Aurelia held a bottle of wine in her hands and some cheese in the other, offering Gale a warm albeit hesitant smile.

"Hey, want to go for a walk with me?" she questions, holding up the goodies in her hands.

Even under the glitz and glamor of a masquerade ball, Cazador spotted Eliminster’s disciple. The old wizard never bothered with a mask. The Lord Szarr's face partially hidden under an extravagant mask approached him. “Will you speak with me? Young student of our prestigious wizard? I, too, practice the fine art of the arcane.”

brows furrowed together like the meeting of blades, head cocking to the side. lae'zel regarded wyll like a strange plant sprung up from the depths of the underdark; unfamiliar to her, strange, potentially dangerous. she had half a mind to laugh at wyll for such a silly remark -- the other half only wondered what his words could truly mean.

still standing? what other choice was there? lae'zel would not fall to her knees, not even to beg for her life. she would die standing, and she would live standing too.

"you seem to suggest there is another option," lae'zel said, arms folding across an armoured chest. "is there another choice for you, wyll? because there is no other for me. i know only the fight - to give up is not in my nature. nor do i believe it is in yours."
