DATV — A very serious chess game at the Cantori Diamond♟️
Lucanis Dellamorte & Alba de riva/Rook, feat. Antivan Crows* *[Viago de Riva, Andarateia "Teia" Cantori, Chance Candide, Heir & Jacobus Egrativi]
🔊Watch with sound!
I mentioned here earlier that the script contains pieces of a cut quest, where Rook is on a mission to eliminate the Antaam and finds the stolen encrypted Crow contracts. It appears that Chance was originally meant to give Rook this quest. There are unused conversations in the files that seem to reference this. Although the text is structured, these lines are unvoiced.
If the player saved Treviso Chance Candide: I know you! You made that dragon turn tail. A proposition! Chance Candide: Chance Candide, freshly back from Orlais. If Rook is an Antivan Crow Chance Candide: Might you help a fellow Crow? Other faction Chance Candide: And I understand you're at the service of the Crows? Rook: What did you need? Chance Candide: When the Antaam first arrived, they looted papers from the Diamond. Chance Candide: After you pummeled that dragon, a helpful citizen-who thanks you for saving her home-reported where these papers might be. Chance Candide: Get the papers back, and we will sleep safer in our beds. And some Antaam, not at all. ----- If the player saved Minrathous Chance Candide: I know you. Looking for a way to make up for choosing Minrathous? Chance Candide: Chance Candide, Crow returned from Orlais. Rook: And you think I should "make up" for choosing to help Minrathous before Treviso? Chance Candide: No hard feelings. We've all got decisions to make. But after that dragon, our people are stretched thin. Chance Candide: If you were to thin the Antaam's numbers in return, ah! That would get us back to where we were. If Rook is an Antivan Crow Chance Candide: That's something every Crow should want, no? Other faction Chance Candide: If you want to prove you're the Crows' ally, this is a small step.
Partners in a Dangerous Crime side-quest. Decide the couple's fate: Leave a note to warn the lovers. The couple escapes safely. ---------- The Gratitude of Lovers: We cannot thank you enough for what you've done. If you had not left a note saying how close the Crows and Venatori were to catching us, we'd never have fled Treviso in time. Pearl and I will find our way to another city, and start a life free from bitterness and bloodshed.

Rook Appreciation Week, Day 2: Murat de Riva
The humor and sincerity of @psin314's art matches Murat's charm and it's always a delight to see him cross my feeds! I love him and his interactions with Lucanis, the other companions, and OCs from his story! And of course tiny Spite too 😌
Here we have future rat and dog owners and the outlier in taste testing who probably should not have been counted lol

Round #2 — Match 11 of 13
Chance Candide
Propaganda: He's known for taking care of his community. If Treviso is blighted, he leaves a message for Rook so they can put him out of his misery, and escapes to an outer part of the city so he won't hurt anyone. When you arrive, you find a lot of bodies lying around him, implying that he took out an entire group before Rook & co. found him. As he dies, he says thank you.
He's also a Crow, and that involves some pretty intense training.
vs. Lace Harding
Propaganda: Harding is such an important character to the story of the game. She was there since the beginning and it is her that brings together so many of Rook's allies. She is kind and compassionate and, despite everything, she is willing to give Solas a chance, she wants to try to save him from himself. But this kindness and compassion isn't weakness. She is willing to threaten Lucanis, an assassin and an abomination, in case he proves a danger to anyone, and later, she apologizes for it. Her story tackles the dangers of trying to please too many people and not allowing yourself to be angry, while also adding another layer to the complex themes of past wrongs and whether the people of today should bear those sins or not. Whatever you end up choosing for her quest, she is able to conquer the memories and will of a Titan and move forward as something new.
Who should advance?
