Chandanapuri Ghat is a mountain pass across the Sahyadri on Pune-Nasik National Highway (NH50). Some years before this route used to have steep turns which made it difficult to navigate in this part of the Sahyadri mountains. New alignment of NH-50 was opened to traffic from March 2017, this alignment replaces the old 2 lane road of the ghat with a 4 lane toll road. The strategic location of this mountain pass along the industrial "golden triangle" of Maharashtra makes its a key landmark on the NH 50 highway link Einige Jahre zuvor wies diese Strecke steile Kurven auf, die die Navigation in diesem Teil des Sahyadri-Gebirges erschwerten. Die neue Trasse des NH-50 wurde im März 2017 für den Verkehr freigegeben. Diese Trasse ersetzt die alte zweispurige Straße des Ghat durch eine vierspurige Mautstraße. Die strategische Lage dieses Gebirgspasses entlang des industriellen "goldenen Dreiecks" von Maharashtra macht ihn zu einem wichtigen Orientierungspunkt auf der NH-50-Verbindung.
