hmm i think certain colors look best on certain people but personally i think black nail polish looks good on anyone and i think it goes well with most outfits they wear

How the hell am I being racist??? Did I not say in the initial message that I fully agreed with the concept that white privilege exists? You can disagree with my opinion, but I am not a fucking racist and never will be.

I do believe I've already gone over this. You're ignoring the history that people of color have had to face, the institutionalized racism that contributes to their responses to the world and to you as a white person, and you're making the situation about your hurt feelings. You supposedly agree that white privilege exists but are completely ignoring the fact that it causes a power difference that most definitely has an impact on the damage that jokes about stereotypes have on a given population.

It isn't a matter of what you agree or disagree with. Because that shit is irrelevant. It isn't about you. It's going to exist whether you agree with it or not.

Because it is generalizing a group of people. ANYTHING MEANT TO INFLICT EMOTIONAL PAIN IS IN FACT IMMORAL. And literally everything you called me out for doing to her, she did the exact same to me. Because what you are forgetting here is the fact that it is not a matter of morals, it’s a matter of extending hundreds upon hundreds of years of institutionalized racism that causes continuous harm to people of color based simply on the fact that they are not white.

Making jokes about black stereotypes is a problem because it reinforces this history of institutionalized racism. It is a tool that is used to keep people “in their place” by controlling them and social depictions of them, and using those depictions as weapons to harm them.

Get back to me when PoC actually have the history of power dynamics to make that even a remote possibility for white people. Until then, you haven’t got shit.
