In the same vein as those “The legendary ban is not to save the Subway Bosses, it’s to save you from Emmet & his new friend Arceus” posts:

Someone (Champion? Evil Team? Rabid fan?) challenges the Subway Bosses to battle, but it isn’t on the Battle Subway nor using its rules. The challenger pulls out a banned legendary Pokemon. Instead of putting up a fuss, Ingo and Emmet agree to allow legendaries. They don’t pull out Pokeballs.

Ingo takes out a flute and plays two shrill notes like that of a train. Emmet flips open his Xtransceiver and types something in it. It seems to have a new fancy white and gold custom cover. 

There’s a beam of golden light and a shattering noise like the heavens are breaking open from above. The shadows don’t disappear under the light, they bubble up from the crevices and spill across the ground tearing into it a gaping wound of pure black. 

For the first time in centuries, Arceus and Giratina take to the battlefield on the same side.

Ingo and Emmet hear about businesses in Hoenn using Absols to predict and prevent disasters. It’s all they can talk about for weeks.

Debating with each other over whether or not they should get an Absol for the station to protect passengers and workers. Who should be the Absol’s official trainer. Whether they should catch one wild or trade for a specially trained one. If they should train it up to be on the level with their own teams. Which stats to focus on; speed for getting to disasters quicker, or attack and defense to deal with danger. How a roaming Absol might disrupt the (Joltik) ecosystems in the subway. How passengers might respond to a free-roaming Pokemon. How its past stigma might impact that treatment. Where to house the Absol.

And then Gear Station’s First Responder Absol absolutely bodies Giratina before it can drag Ingo into a space-time rift.

Lady Sneasler’s new Warden is a strange one, all of Diamond Clan agrees. He seems to switch between two expressions; a wide smile or a deep frown. Melli constantly complains about the Warden acting worse than a feral Zoroark yet Adaman has never seen the man be anything less than polite. His name is Emmet, he constantly tells everyone, yet some folk swear he’s introduced himself as Ingo. Perhaps they would believe Arezu’s wild conspiracies if the Warden’s pokemon acted out in any way. However, they’re affectionate and fierce no matter which strange coat he wears out that day. It’s a bit strange that he doesn’t bring every pokemon with him everywhere, but he trains so many and dutifully cycles through them.

  aka Ingo and Emmet are both Sneasler’s Wardens and no one but Pearl Clan knows because one or the other is always busy whenever anyone comes around and they share their pokemon

As the condition to return home, Ingo has to haunt his own gravestone and wait for his man in white to visit and say how much he loved him.

Ingo made a deal with a pokemon and he’s banking on the hopefully reciprocated love he feels for the man in white he barely remembers

Except Emmet has been avoiding the gravesite that was made for Ingo since he still believes Ingo is alive and can be saved

Some kid sees a shooting star and Jirachi grants a wish that incidentally turns and keeps all pokemon across the world at level 1.

Obviously, people are freaking out trying to find the big ol’ undo button.

Meanwhile the Battle Subway is still in operation, and Subway Boss Emmet is terrorizing any and all challengers with his army of level 1 perfect IV Joltiks.

You know, growlithe/archanine must be in a tizzy. Mum is now baby!

Also, if the wardens do become the pre evo of the nobles…. RIP to like everyone but like Ingo and Calaba. They’re the only ones who got bipedal privileges. Also, an even big oof to Meli and Iscan, who don’t have limbs now… yeah… that’s gonna be fun

It’s terrible! Now Mom can’t swim out and save them if they wander too far offshore! And where are they gonna find her a partner? She’s all alone! … oh but Lord Basculegion has been hanging around a lot more than usual with his newly aquatic Warden. Mom visits him at the shore everyday and spends so much time playing in the shoreline with him. Iscan sure is a strange Growlithe but they’re happy Mom found herself such a devoted life partner.

Yeah it’s hilarious. I’m just imagining Melli as this spinning ball of distress because “Look at him! He’s a ball! All the other Wardens have limbs. Hell, Ingo is practically still human!” He’s set off more than one explosion since he changed.

Arezu is also mostly human shaped even if she doesn’t have fingers. She keeps her distance so she isn’t subjected to a Melli monologue. Mai, like any older honorary sister, has tried to kick him down a slope only to be foiled by her own gangly legs.

Calaba is just glad she still has all her limbs. She’s still a grumpy old lady just now in a tiny bear cub body. She’s had more than one clan member stumble into her medical tent in distress because they think they’re broken, but really they’re just pokemon now and they never realized how much they didn’t know about them.

Irida would call Ingo permanently back to the Settlement for guidance since he’s their best pokemon expert but that would mean entertaining all of the rambunctious, poisonous Sneasels who are super attached to the new baby sibling-version of their big brother/uncle.

Gaeric is waddling along on four feet but he’s taking it as a challenge to get just as big and strong as Lord Avalugg. His partner Froslass and Glalie are constantly fishing him out of danger. Froslass totally just picks him right up while his feet furiously wiggle in the air.

Everyone is at least a little glad Lian has to stay in the Fieldlands for his health as Gaeric can’t rile him up when he’s running around with giant knife hands. Sabi is unfortunately not sequestered away and is more than happy to get in on those Rufflet brawls.

Thinking about amnesiac Ingo being taken into the Pearl Clan and he just cannot handle being around either Clan when they get into their The Real Almighty Sinnoh debates

Thinking about Ingo who doesn’t know where he’s from or what he believed in but he feels deep seated panic whenever he thinks of the starkly divided Clans arguing over their god and specifically what they embody

(gimme more Ingo who grew up hearing all the cautionary tales about the Twin Princes and their split Dragons)

During his time in Hisui, a Zoroark falls in love with Sneasler’s Warden. He doesn’t join Ingo’s team but he accompanies him during his patrols around the Highlands and brings him gifts.

After the game story, Arceus grants the three of them, MC, Ingo, and Zoroark, one wish each for helping save the world. Ingo asks to be sent home. Zoroark wishes to be reborn as a human so he can fall in love with Ingo all over again.

Emmet wakes up to Ingo dropping out of a glowing portal and landing right on top of him. He’s overjoyed. It feels like it’s been so long and yet no time at all. After Ingo disappeared, Emmet was struck by strange memories out of nowhere, memories of his past life as a Zoroark meeting and falling in love with Ingo for the first time.
