I didn't watch the landing live...smh :(. I mean. I was at school. Wasn't really that important to everyone apparently. BUT. I AM SO PROUD OF INDIA
Also, can I just add? My dad told me that Russia sent up a mission as well.
India used the slingshot method for Chandrayaan 3. Why? Launching the spaceship into Earth's orbit and then using that force to slingshot it to the moon is way more cost and energy effective than just sending it straight up. Sending the ship straight to the moon requires huge rockets and hefty amounts of fuel.
India used careful planning and foresight and do yall know what Russia did the minute they realized India was doing that? They set off their own mission. But they sent it straight up. Using money. And a lot of fuel. And. Guess what. It crashed
And now Russia has to watch India become the first nation to land on the lunar south pole.
