Chandrashila peak (4090 meters /13420 fts) and the panoramic view of the Himalayas

It covers an easy to moderate treking around 5 kms which starts from chopta and passes through highest shiva temple in the world, so it is known as tungnath-chandrashila trek.

You can please you eyes watching the gorgeous peaks of the Himalaya including chaukhmba, kedarnath - kedardome, mandhani, gangotri and yamunotri, neelkanth, kharcha kund, janhukut , nanda devi etc from the peak. It also provide you a spectacular view of the Tungnath- mandal valley.

The trek is open throughout the year but is arduous during winter due to heavy snowfall. 👉🏼DM for more information

Panchmukhi Shivling at Chandrashila Summit, Uttarakhand

The Beauty of Chandrashila is Incredible. It is an impressive vantage point that offers 360 degrees panoramic views of the mighty Himalayas. Chandrashila is summit of the Tungnath. It literally means “Moon Rock”.

This peak provides a spectacular view of Himalayas, especially Nandadevi, Trisul, Kedar Peak, Bandarpunch and Chaukhamba peaks. There are various legends associated with this place.
