Opening statement
There can be no good without evil, for they define each other. Yet one can love without hate? But we are hated for loving. And we all set to a tune set not but barely 400 years ago. Based on a religion of he said/she said. Now I ask of you to do the unthinkable. Look past the veil of hatred. Look at the big picture. Look at the planet. We squable about bathroom privileges and worry about pleasing the corporate chimera America has aloud itself to become. It doesn’t matter how many genders there are if the cheeto puts us in nuclear war. It won’t matter. won'that happens when our air becomes toxic and the water sours and the very earth we need to live on is razed to ashes.
I don’t mean to sound like a crazy person. I don’t yell about the nearness of the end. I just…I’m just tired of all the hatred and greed that we as a society have allowed to concur us. I feel my humanity shrivel day by day as I look upon the world around me. I fear for us as a race. For our future.
I would love nothing more than tho wake up to the news and hear worldwide disarmerment, that scientists are making breakthroughs in important fields of study, that there is peace between the warring factions and the hatred of belief-fueled men was washed away in a moment of lucidity.
But I won’t. And I can do nothing more than resign myself to this before I sleep.
