hey!! so sorry to be the bearer of bad news but I wanted to let you know but the 2026 damon art you have as your banner (and the 2028 one) got confirmed to have ai usage in them. unbeknownst to the people running the event and all the other art pieces are good 👍 sucks really bad but I didn’t want you to be unaware and have it as your banner
oh shit thanks for letting me know <3
@mutatedangels liked for a starter !
Entirely too big for his foldable lawn chair, the canvas strains against his weight. When he kicks out his legs it sends up a plume of dust. It doesn't deter how at ease he feels, a cup of coffee balanced on his thigh — squinting against the early morning sun even in sunglasses, settled in the company of mostly old folks who can't sleep and would rather get the day going than suffer the torment of trying to drift off again. "Management get the locks on those mailboxes yet?" He asks Sandra, who has an exceptional talent for getting aggrieved about pretty much anything, and if her parabolic hunch is anything to go by, the inconveniences of life get her good. She'd once told Trent that as a man, he must not wear flip-flops. That the tan lines he was sporting as a result would keep him from finding a partner.
Apart from the obvious, the stolen mail's been the talk of the park. Trent uses his family address for anything important, but he can sympathize with the people who've lived here a long time. "Nope. But I know who took it," Sandra starts, and he already knows how it's gonna end, "That neighbour of yours, I'm telling you. She is not a good girl." At that, Trent stands up with such force that his chair tips backwards and his coffee nearly sloshes over the lip of the mug, a theatrical look of shock-horror on his expression. "You for real? Imma talk to her right now. Don't you worry ma'am." He assures. Sandra clocks him in an instant, swatting the air in front of her and clicking her tongue in disapproval but he doesn't hear because he's already rapping at Twyla's door. When she opens it, his intended look of mock concern is already breaking into a broad grin. "So Sandra's got you pegged as the mail thief. Her reason's damn compelling too. You're not a good girl. Got anything to say for yourself?"
