Baseball was never one of her strong points but she enjoyed playing the clean up batter. Hitting the curveball with a wide swing the libero ran to the first base,
“ kake! this is so coooool! "

This was certainly...interesting. The last person that Miyuki Kazuya had expected to see standing in front of him was Narumiya Mei and yet here they both stood, on the same field, playing for the same team. That was certainly a throw back to their middle school days. Who would've thought after all that, they would end up at the same University, playing for the same team? Miyuki certainly hadn't been expecting to see Mei here...though it wasn't as though the two talked about their future plans and this particular university happened to have a fantastic baseball program, so he couldn't say he was surprised.
Miyuki's lips curled up to form a large grin. As he was the newest catcher and Mei was the newest pitcher, it probably meant that they were going to be working quite a bit together. He waved to the blond boy, his smirk growing larger and larger. "Oi! Mei-kun!" he called out, wondering when the blond boy would notice him.
It was so strange to think about forming a battery with Mei again. It both annoyed and excited Miyuki. On the one hand, there was a reason he had chosen not to follow Mei to Inashiro...Miyuki liked their friendly competition. Mei was a challenge to Miyuki, a good challenge. Games with Inashiro always made Miyuki think...forced him to improve himself. Yet, Miyuki was also aware of Mei's pitching talent. He was one of the best pitchers in the league and to catch for him...well, the thought excited Miyuki. And maybe, just maybe he could cure Mei of his damn arrogance problem.
"It seems we've ended up in the same place," he said casually, standing near the pitcher, nudging his arm with his elbow slightly. "What a coincidence!" he laughed, wondering how Mei would react to news like this.
Kawakami Nori took a deep breath, fiddling with the sleeves of his suit jacket.
It was finally here. His first competition of his second year, and his first competition since his loss to Narumiya Mei last year.
Each school was only allowed to send two violinists, and if he was being honest, he wouldn't have made it if Tanba hadn't broken his wrist. He'd barely beaten Sawamura, and now he and Furuya had been send as the representatives of Seidou, with Miyuki Kazuya as his accompanist.
You got lucky, he reminded himself. You never would've been picked if it weren't for Tanba-san's injury. So you'd better not screw up!
He glanced up at the TV, where he could see the current performance. A few more people and it would be his turn. He figured he should go find Miyauchi Keisuke, who would be accompanying him.
He turned to do that, when he saw a familiar blond head and felt his heart drop. "N-Narumiya Mei?!"
