Spirits bound in servitude to the tiger that killed them. They typically seek freedom to die in peace by bringing their master a new victim in exchange.

"Why not join me for a soak in the springs? I promise I won't ｂｉｔｅ." 태범 Taebeom was once a regular tiger, but after slaying hundreds of hunters and poachers that came after him to survive, he learned how to bind their souls into his service, and slowly transformed from mortal to divine. He has gained somewhat of a cult following within his community, creating an entire sect where he continues to teach his techniques of soul binding to his disciples, starting them off with one summon. He can even grant a request if it's within his power and reason. Taebeom even has his own line of alcohol, Tiger Bath Wine, where he bathes in a spring of rice wine, which because of his divine nature, infuses it with the fragrance of brown sugar and ginseng. It's offered as a more ethical alternative to the consumption of tiger bone wine.

A request for this Halloween challenge, and I'm going to pick 'something else' this time.

In the spirit of Halloween, I'll share a YouTube video that came across my feed a few weeks ago, and the itch to somehow incorporate it into Transference has been UNBEARABLE haha so of course I'm going to figure out some way to work it in...

This is an AMAZING rendition of Changgwi performed by Lee Ha Yoon and written by Ahn Ye-eun. I think I actually like it even more that the original (but I would definitely suggest watching both for the full creepy experience with visuals lol).

The song is inspired by a Korean folklore about the Changgwi, the ghost of a person killed by a tiger and enslaved. The spirit cannot pass on into the afterlife, so they are essentially forced to serve the tiger for eternity unless they can successfully lure in and kill a new human victim to take their place instead. 

I'm thinking about using this idea as the inspiration for a spirit that will guard one of the Sith holocrons Obi-Wan pursues (with or without Qui-Gon, I haven't decided yet). Like, having the spirit of someone who tried to open the holocron before but was overwhelmed by the Dark Side lurking around to try and tempt Obi-Wan into falling or something, idk yet...

ANYWAYS, I thought this was a fun tie-in with the holiday :)
