The Purity Sun Essence is a suncare essence was developed from a non-nano technology that maximizes the of a physical sunscreen. This essence provides a lightweight layer of protection that blocks the UVA and UVB rays from our skin.

The non-nano mineral filter will give you a fresh finish and no white cast. Only the cleanest and purest ingredients are used to ensure that people with sensitive skin could use this sun essence as well. The sun essence also helps with anti-wrinkle properties.

Two of their main ingredients includes Zinc Oxide that meant this sun essence is suitable for sensitive skin and Niacinamide, a form of Vitamin B3 that helps oily skin and fades acne scars.

The Sun Essence was cool and light when applied. It has a fresh wooden smell to it that diminishes over time. I enjoy the woody scent for new wooden furniture excites me.

When the sun essence is spread, you can see it disintegrating like liquid being spread out over a table. It was an interesting sight to observe. The sun essence dispersed easily plus, my skin absorbed it quickly. I like how it slightly glistered under the light while it was absorbing. Once it was taken in by my skin entirely, it does not feel thick nor sticky. It felt light and it did not leave a white cast on my skin as well.

Face Republic's Purity Sun Essence is a great light-weighted everyday sun protection product if you are looking for a sunscreen that does not turn you white. It absorbs quickly, is not sticky after absorption and it is suitable for all skin types including sensitive skin types. The product is also lean and thin making it easily portable for one to reapply the sun essence throughout the day.

If you are wondering is it necessary to reapply sunscreen every few hours, here’s the reason why. In my recent adventures to St John’s island, I did an experiment where I applied sunscreen to my whole leg in the morning and only reapplied the area around my knee cap at noon for it felt hot. By the end of the day, my leg looks like a zebra. With this experiment, this shows that you should always reapply sunscreen to prevent sunburn.
