Not to sound weird but Andi Mack is the shit
I love how Disney is changing and writing scripts that are actually relatable.
They've covered so many things that havent been truly explored on children's television.
Cyrus came out as gay to his best friend and she supported him. That gives kids the courage and strength to know that they are not alone.
Jonah has anxiety and has panic attacks. He's hesitant to tell his friends, but when he does, they support him. He talks to adults that offer him ways to cope, and THAT IS IMPORTANT.
The main character, Andi, has short hair. And while that is a minor thing, it's refreshing to see a character stray away from the long curled hair.
Andi's sister is actually her mom and her "mom" and "dad" are her grandparents. The whole plot and setup for their relationships is so complex and new.
Bex(her real mom) was still a teenager when she was pregnant. AND she was a single mother (her own choice) and that validates the kids watching raised by single parents that it's okay.
Buffy plays on the boys teams and she doesn't let sexism cause her to give up.
They explore disabilities with TJ and his difficulty to pay attention in classes. Cyrus reassures him that if he reaches out and talks to people, there'll be someone to help and listen.
They explore interracial couples. The main character is literally Asian. And her love interests are Jonah(white) and Walker(black).
There's so much depth and realness to this show that it really makes me appreciate the steps that are being taken to be all inclusive. While I had a few shows that explored that in my youth, I've never seen a show explore so many things and display them in a way that young kids can understand.
