The heat hit Elizabeth as soon as she entered the room, clearly the first year class who had just left had had a few accidents with the fire beneath their cauldron's. Ah well, she thought as she took her seat, can't let a bit of heat get in the way of the first OWL potions lesson. She watched silently as Snape partnered everyone up, secretly hoping for a Ravenclaw, as they usually had a similar work ethic to her. Scanning the room as the professor neared the end of his list, she realised the only classmate left was... "Elizabeth and Morgana", Snape stated. Her heart sank, a Slytherin, just her luck. Knowing it would be idiotic to protest, she simply picked up her bag and walked calmly over to where the girl was sitting, looking equally displeased at the pairing. Snape announced they would be brewing a Calming Draught, Elizabeth snickered, she may actually need one by the end of the lesson. "we'll need these", Elizabeth spoke, handing her new partner the ingredients list from her book, indicating that she wanted her to collect them, "I'll start the heat, it needs to be exact for a calming draught".
