Hmm, I saw the ask about the 18+ thingy and the tags, and I was wondering how to block certain tags on tumblr? If its not too much trouble? I've never known how to do it and it'd be useful 😅

Tumblr has relatively recently (like in the past few months) enabled us to actually filter and block tags we don’t wanna see! Very useful for blocking triggering content or stuff like nsfw stuff and similar :3

There are two things you can block: tags or post content.

Filtering tags means you won’t see posts with a specific tag added to it, for example the tag I mentioned Ryu18only can be blocked by using this.

Filtering post content means that tumblr will hide posts that have a filtered word anywhere in the post, not just in the tags. Let’s say you want to block the word “death“ and out it in post content filters, then tumblr will hide any post that has that word anywhere in it (careful, it works only on text not pics).

How do you set it up? Simple! :D I’m putting it under a cut cause it’s a bit long due to the pictures. Let me know if there are any more questions X3

PC settings

Go to your settings by pressing the pencil tiny human in the upper right corner of the dash:

Then just edit the filtering you want:

There are the Help options that can give you more info about how it works if you click them :3

Mobile settings

Also click on the tiny human icon at the bottom of the app, then click on the setting in the upper right corner:

Click the Account settings at the top of the screen that opens:

And then pick the Filtering option:

And add any words or tags you want to filter (top group are tag filters, bottom group is post content filters):

Idk why, but I really want to tell you. I've been reading your fan fic Babysitting with Extra Morbid Steps, and it mentions Stockholm Syndrome, but you also left out something else called Lima Syndrome! Unlike Stockholm Syndrome where the victim comes to sympathize with the captor's needs, Lima Syndrome is when the captor come to sympathize with the victim's needs, which is what's happening with mc^^. idk why I wanted to tell you, but I guess there's your fun fact for the day! (Also really love your writings, your stories are so well fleshed out and well writen^^)

Wow, you have a long writing master post! Have you ever considered posting on a site configured specifically for writing? Like A03 or wattpad? (Personally I would suggest AO3 over wattpad)

I've thought about posting stuff on AO3 before, and I think I might've tried (just to see how it'd work), and if I remember right, it was a bit confusing ^^" I wasn't entirely sure how to do anything at the time being. The best way I found to make friends, at least the way I made most friends in the fandom, was by just being nice and leaving comments on their works. Usually, that lead to them eventually just coming to talk to me and we made friends pretty fast XD

A lot of peeps in the fandom are really friendly and very happy to talk to others so I’d say just go for it! :D You have a good conversation starter, fics are always a very good way to get someone to talk (also KFHSDKFJHS ty for liking my fics >///////////<❤) and I bet you’ll make friends with them in no time X3

I’m not 100% sure who you mean (though I do have someone in mind XD) but I’d say to just go in with a hi, a compliment for something they made and a “I saw you like this and this fic, I love it too! which was your fave part?” or something similar and you’ll have a great start :D
